Hello Everyone, I'm new to this, HELP!

Hi Board,
As I said in the subject line, I'm new to the DVC world. I just closed on my OKW membership this morning and I will be posting points for rent soon. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions at all that you seasoned veterans can offer. Some of my questions are, what kind of terms do you offer for renters, how helpful is the DVC when making ressies for someone else, how do you work out payments for ressies? The list goes on and on. I am very excited and also a little nervous about this so if you have any info to help set my mind at ease I will greatly appreciate it.

well the FAQ here in this forum gives a good overview of the process and some ways people handle the process.

read it over and post any more specific questions and people will help you out.

Just as an aside, why are you renting points if you are just closing, why not bank the points?

I can't bank the points because the former owner already banked 2001's points and 2002's points so I have quite a bit of points to rent before Feb. 2003.

I have reviewed the FAQ on this site, I'm interested in hearing about peoples personal experiences.
