New to this board here, but thinking about visiting DLP next year. I wanted to say thanks for this thread...it'll help me lots in deciding where to stay, what to do, and where to eat. I didn't see anything about the Best way to get from the airport to the parks?

Any chance you have posted other threads about your previous trip reports?

My vote went for summer - those long opening hours and nice weather - unbeatable combination!

I thought Christmas might be the best time for a first timer to visit the Resort. Doesn't it rain and/or snow a lot during the holidays though? I don't mind freezing cold temperatures, but would hate to wait in line for rides in wet weather. Also I would hate not to be able to take pics with Disney characters, or around all the outdoorsy places. Is there a best time during the holidays when it's somewhat sunny, or with more clear skies? :confused3 Thanks for the help.

Just moving this to a new thread so that others can help with your holiday plans.

theres never any guarantees, no matter what time of year at DLP, that you'll get clear skies and sunny weather ;). However, that doesn't put Europeans off in the main - we are used to wet weather and DLP is built with this in mind. The characters still do their meet n greets etc in the wet in their normal places. Most queue lines for the rides are indoors, and midweek in Christmas season (ie from early November through to mid-December) is very quiet and most rides are walk-ons/minimum wait.

Thank you all for the help so far. I'm also considering going in the Fall, maybe late September or Mid-October since I've heard from people here in the States that that's best time to visit Europe in general. :surfweb:
