Hellllllp!!

Would it be possible to sew a bra or some supportive, stretchy fabric inside of the costume? I'm thinking of one-piece bathing suits that have sort of a built-in bra. Maybe a seamstress could help you do this? Just a thought.:)

you know, im kinda thinking now of making my own costume now (getting someone to help sew it and stuff, cuz i cant!) but thats a good idea that i can use for it! im pretty sure it wont work for my costume that i have now b/c of the material its made out of....but ill definitely do this if i make a costume! thanks a lot Luv Bunnies!!:thumbsup2

Ahhh..Your family is going to look so Cute!:goodvibes

I saw an abu costume on ebay yesterday when I was looking for a kewl Captain Hook one.

:clown:

haha thank you! thats sweet:goodvibes i hope so...i never knew how stressfull costume shopping could be! :rotfl2: ill check out ebay to see if i can see it too! thanks!

one lady told me i was a B cup and thats not true for sure! lol it just seems like nobody can measure me right. and at that time i was a DD..so a B was waaaay off

I get measured a lot and everyone tells me different things. Someone out there somewhere created this A, B, C, D, DD system so we girls could have a general guideline as to what our bra size is however I swear, every brand of bra fits different on me and ranges in what size I need.

The only thing I can suggest is what someone else already did I think. Get a nude bra or body suit and you will hardly be able to see the straps or anywhere the bra might stick out a bit.

Two-sided tape that is specifically meant to be able to put on your body works great too. It hurts a little taking it off but if you need some extra support, it holds pretty good.:thumbsup2

alright, so after everything thats happened with this costume, ive decided to return it and make my own!! i hadnt noticed it before, b/c i dont have a full size mirror, but the bottoms are pretty much see through!! hahaha not very disney appropriate. but thank you all very much for all your suggestions....i will still be using them for my new costume of course!
ok, so my new question is...does anyone know where i can get a jasmine costume pattern?? ive never done this before, so im praying it turns out ok:angel: !! im going to need to find someone to sew it for me (i think i know a few ppl) but how long should this really take? im really nervous!!

While sewing your own costume, you can get flesh colored fabric for the tummy. Ice Skaters and Dancers use this material to hide problem areas in there costumes.

Or you can just wear flesh toned undergarments, and then the costume will not be too revealing. :) Thats my vote, however, if you find a nice pattern, and someone who is an excellent seamstress, or tailor, that would be great, because that way, the costume, will fit you perfectly, and include any adjustments, that you may like, like the pp wrote of, fabric like that, really can blend so very nicely, believe me, I have seen, or should I say, could barely if at see them, while in action.

I have been looking for a pattern for PJ, for adults, and so far cannot find one, not saying it does not exist, just cannot find the pattern for adults so far, only for girls, and it runs small, for the girls costume, I was thinking, maybe if the adult version is not available,if you know someone that can make patterns, then they can pattern your size after the girls pattern, using it as a reference point, the same thing can be done, with your current costume as well.

I know that simplicity patterns have a beautiful collection of costumes, I looked at everything that they had on their site, but nothing for that character so far, maybe closer to Halloween? I have their number, probably too late, for me to call it tonight, but I will call and see, what information that I may be able to obtain.

Now there is a pattern for a Jeannie costume, which is essentially the same thing, as Princess Jasmines costume, that can be altered so as to look just like her costume, the pattern # is 3626, I believe it is Simplicity, however it may be another maker, pretty sure though it is Simplicity. And you can find that at Jo Ann fabric store in San Jose, Ca.
