ok, so for halloween i was planning to be princess jasmine<3
i found this really cute costume that really looked like hers (not those weird fake looking purple ones that are everywhere) and i bought it online.
today it FINALLY got here. i was soooo excited and had been waiting all week for this...then i try it on and notice some problems...most are fine and i could deal with them, but the biggest problem was the top piece. it had NO support AT ALL! after having a baby, lets face it, your "lovely lady lumps" get much bigger and wont stay up on their own (hahahaa sorry i know, TMI). so i dont know what to do! a bra wont work with the costume, i wish i wouldve known this prior to buying it, but oh well.
so my problem is, im trying to find another jasmine costume. ive seen a few people (in random pics) with costumes that look like princess jasmine at DL's costume. that one would be perfect! but i cant find it ANYWHERE! it doesnt have to be exactly like the DL one, but similar in the way the top is made and stuff.
any ideas on where i can find it? ive searched alllll over the net for hours and found nothing. also in a youtube video of the trick or treat party, i saw a girl dressed like jasmine and it was the perfect costume!! i wish i could ask her where she got it from!!:headache: ok, so if you know of any places i could buy or rent it, PLEASE let me know!
thanks so much!!:)

what about a strapless bra?

if worse comes to worse you can use duck tape like those girls at the pageants do!!

haha thanks for the advice!

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but generally, when being fitted I've had it explained as..

If the band on a 36C was too big, go to a 34D, or too small try 38B and so forth.

So I'm guessing it might be worth a shot to try them out. Maybe try one pack to start with! I had a quick look at their online shop, and Victoria's Secret has similar items too.

Walmart has them too!! They have about 3 different types. The most expense was $10.00, 5 or 6 years ago! By now with the rollbacks they should be less.

if that doesn't work out, you can always get a bra with clear straps :)

there is a a new bra out costs 35 dollars but is for women such as you and me. It was a design that won 2nd place in an inventors contest-- actually shown on tv as a series. the Bra jsut went on sell I am thinking of getting one to try. If i remeber correct you could purchase at Macys. If anyone knows what i am talking about please chime in. I think this would work.

I was just going to suggest clear straps. I use those all the time. :)

I am sorry about the fitting problem, purchasing clear straps, then replacing the current straps on the bra that you are planning on wearing, is a great idea. I have seen those straps at fabric stores, and you most likely can order them on line, as well.
Look on the bright side, at least you can fit I am sure, very nicely into your costume, to where for me, (sigh) I am still trying to get into a brand new costume, that I have had, since 2001! who has Richard Simmons, direct number? ;) seriously, though, at least you do not have to sew two or more costumes together, I have actually though about that! (omg)
Anyway, definitely give the clear straps a try,and in the mean time, if you find a strap less bra, that fits correctly, and will not drive you nuts, ( I have heard stories) then wear that instead, you can always have a back up plan. :)

Would it be possible to sew a bra or some supportive, stretchy fabric inside of the costume? I'm thinking of one-piece bathing suits that have sort of a built-in bra. Maybe a seamstress could help you do this? Just a thought.:)

That is a good idea too, also I was thinking about what dancers wear for example, flesh tone, leotards, or unitards, also there are flesh toned, dancers bras and underwear, there are many good sources on line for dance wear, any shop that sells dance wear, is a good place to go and see these garments, and you live in San Jose, and I know there is the San Jose Ballet Company, so there must be a number of dance shops in the area, for it is a pretty big and busy city, as well.

yea thats what ive been told too! but it totally didnt work for me...i think i was measured wrong. one lady told me i was a B cup and thats not true for sure! lol it just seems like nobody can measure me right. and at that time i was a DD..so a B was waaaay off:rotfl2:. thank god they are not that giant anymore, but its weird b/c sometimes even my D bras are too small...but the DDs are too big. man, having children just ruins your poor body!! :rotfl:

you are not alone! i actually do not fit into my costume! well, i can fit in it, but it doesnt look very good at all:lmao: its hard being pricess jasmine b/c shes gotta show her belly, and my belly is NOT ready yet!! and i only have two months to get it in shape. im thinking its not gonna happen! i very much still have my baby belly:sad2: baby belly and big on top is soooo not princess jasmine hahaha
but this is what i think.....even if i dont get into PERFECT shape by then (which i wont) im still going to dress up and have a GREAT time. and eat tons of candy!! i hope you do the saaaaame thing;) im sure you'll look great in your costume

Ahhh..Your family is going to look so Cute!:goodvibes
