Height Restrictions

Leaving in the MORNGING! Last minute question...I just measured DS and he is 40 inches and DD is as close to 44 inches as you can get. My question is this...does Disney have a central location (Guest Services maybe) where the kids can get an "official measurement"? Once at our local theme party DD was very close to 36 inches so some rides they let her on and some she was turned away from. When I expressed frustration they sent me to GS and they measured her and put a wrist band on her that told all the ride attendants that she was OKed for the 36 inch rides. Anyone know of anything similar at Disney?

Disney does not have a central location to measure kids. Your kids will get measured at every ride where there is a height restriction. That's just the way it is.

If she is going to be close to height I would let her wear the most comfortable shoe she has w/ more height to it and a hat.

Just be careful about the recommedation of having her wear shoes with thick soles. Many people have reported that CMs have noticed kids doing this and will force those kids to take off their shoes to be measured, making it more likely they won't measure up-- so if you DO go for the thicker shoe make sure they're not the really unnaturally thick looking ones.

We have also seen CMs make kids remove hats and even take hair out of ponytails if it looked like it was up on the top of the head to make the child taller (like Michelle's hairdo in Full House).
