Need some expert help, please.

We haven't been to US/IOA since 2000 & that was without kids. I was looking at the website & it states the following:

"NOTE: Children under 48" (1.22 meters) must be accompanied by an adult at all times and on all attractions."

Does this mean that kids under 48" can ride anything as long as they are with an adult? I got confused when I saw this notice, but also height restrictions listed. My son will be 8 by the time we head down & is hovering between 47-48". I don't want to break any rules; I just want to be sure so he doesn't get his heart set on anything & is turned away right before the ride.

TIA
Kristin

No, there are still rides where they have to be over 48 inches tall to ride at all. This includes the new WWOHP ride and Mummy which are right at 48 inches (my DD is 48in so hopefully she can ride) and then all the major roller coasters are 51 or 52 inches.

I'm looking forward to the local pool to open because they have a water slide that is 48inches. So that will be the test for DD (7) who measures right at 48 inches at home. We might need to make sure the tennis shoes have a little height on them. ;)

What that means is.... your child can't ride alone... even on rides he/she is tall enough to ride. ie Cat in the Hat, Spiderman etc...
