Height Resrictions

They were very strict when we were there in Dec, Lottie is quite tall, but was still being checked for things. TBH, my childs safety is more important than her desire to go on a ride.

I think its mental trauma more than anything! Screws them up!

Thats awful....the time she went on RnR coaster was ages after she was told...she had to go to hospital when she was about 5 and they said it hadn't closed up...anyway the night after the RnR I had nightmares and I seriously couldn't do that again! I was thinking too much about what COULD have happened and I drove myself mad!
Say something did happen theres no way for the ride to stop is there...??

so gonna do the appointment, ask if its ok then I will have a clear mind!;)

just thought I'd add they said that she would be ok in life with thrill rides, running, but sometimes just to take it easy....

I would just be extra careful.

I was dead against my brother riding any as his heart problem is very bad and hes had major heart surgery more than 3 times and hoped he wouldnt be so stupid to ride on a ride that advises people with his condition not too.

Shame his gf wasnt too concerened. Then again she only cares about herself.

I totally agree. Kacee has no interest on going on BTM. He'd rather be on Dumbo to be honest.

Think I might measure him tonight, just out of interest. I'm not sure that a 2yr old should be on BTM no matter how tall they are!

True, but the harnesses etc are designed to work from certain heights, therefore there is the potential that they wouldn't work properly if the child was too small.

I couldnt of said it better myself, there are reasons why height restrictions are in place.

Minium age for BTM is 3 anyway and 102 cms. :thumbsup2

what about space mountain?

Mydaughter is 7 (8 in march) and wants to go on it tomorrow, shes just the right height more or less exactly. She loves rollercoasters and r&r is her fav

I'm sorry Emma but that makes me ill thinking of that! Its RnR and space mountain I was told to watch out for with people with heart conditions???:confused3 They can pass out too quickly with the speed!

oh yes totally agree...Jade had a longish coat on that was slidey material..like a puff jacket??? I swear to god I thought she would slide out!:rotfl: I was told though that they test the coaster with 'things' alot smaller than jade and they stay put.....please don't ask me what 'things' are as in my head I had bags of sugar!!...its the way my brain works!:rotfl:
I mean even under the height restriction the bars can bang off their head or whatever...just not worth it!:thumbsup2

Luckily Space Mountain was closed in Sept so he didnt get to go on it, but he went on RnR loads of times with his gf. Its funny how she made him go on these rides after i had left them as she knows what i would of said.

It will depend on the CM. Of course I couldn't possibly suggest you put something inside the rear of the shoes to get a little lift (folding cardboard several times can get 3-4 cms) or tell them to stand tall:)

I'm 5ft 4 and a half and believe that is still too small for TOT :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: pertified wouldn't be in it.
