Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to the CSR we go! A Feb PTR 2/28 Trip report started!!!

Loving your Day 5 plans :) That CP breakfast plate looks delish, could go for that right now :teeth:

Just wanted to let you know that I actually did it!!!!!! I started my new pre-trip report for our summer vacation!

Unbenannt-2a.jpg

Here it is!

If your heart is in your DREAM ........

What a beautiful pic! I will now be subscribed to 3 of your TRs - I'm starting to get confused with 2!

Karin, I am in Ft Lauderdale for business tonight, and there is a Bubba Gump next to my hotel. I'm going there for dinner. And I bet you can't guess what I plan on ordering?? :lmao:

Mmm, love Bubba Gump's!

Just checking in !!Karin have I missed any of your PTRs/TRs !!!I think I may have as you have multiple ones !!:rotfl2:Marv on the other hand can't even update his one !!:lmao::lmao:

Does this make 4? How do you keep it straight?? I'm so confused!!!!!:rotfl:

CP does look like alot of fun, and delicious, too! Plus, you get to be in an empty MK!:thumbsup2 I always say AK is my favorite park, but the last time we were there, MK just felt like "home." We had our most fun there, so I'm loving this day you have planned - it is just so DISNEY! ::MickeyMo

We always shy away from Character meals, since it is just the two of us, but I have to admit that we really enjoyed Crystal Palace. The food was quite good, the characters were nice, and you get to go into a practically empty MK!
To us MK spells Disney! I love all the parks, there is something special about each and every one of them, but the one that is really Disney for me is the Magic Kingdom ....... and an empty MK is awesome!

Oh, more wonderful pics!!! You know, I've not been on the Jungle Cruise in YEARS!!! :sad1: I'm hoping if I do get to squeeze in a short trip this summer, there will be enough time in the MK for this one....and POC...and HM...and People Mover....and TMSEP. :rotfl2:

Enjoying this PTR VERY much!!! :yay:

Christine, we very rarely did the Jungle Cruise until a few years ago. Then we hit a skipper who cracked one joke after the other. When we got off the boat my belly hurt because of all the laughter.
We then found out that during Evening EMH the skipper quite often stray from their spiel! Mainly because you cannot see much in the dark, I guess! :lmao: But the jokes they fill the rides with are hilarious!

I really hope you get to do and see everything on your list in August! ;)

I have never done CP for breakfast and it is a possibility for August!! As the girls birthday is gonna be our MK day and we will be eating at the Castle I will still have 1 TS and it is gonna be CP or CM that day !!I think I will let the gang decide as we could do CM our Ak day for supper !! Oh my I am just running off at the mouth !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Rosie, you should definitely consider the CP for breakfast. The food was very nice, just steer away from the chocolate Mickey Waffles, they taste kind of burned!
Your "gang" will love the early entry into the park and having the MK "to themselves". (Yes, you need to share with a few other breakfast guests, but it feels REAL empty!

We sail on the Dream Sept. 11, so we are thinking of flying in on the 9th to stay at CSR.:thumbsup2 Mickey says hello to you and Tom.

Hi Mickey and Teresa! Tom and I are so looking forward to seeing you before we have to leave for Austria again!

I have to stop reading your thread while hungry. All those wonderful pics of the food. All of the pics are fantastic I can't say that enough, I love reading your posts, I can visualize being there. I should show my kids some and see there reactions. They love looking at disney pics. If they only knew we were only 31 days out, hahahaha.

You are not the first to say that! :lmao: I don't know why everyone "complains" of feeling hungry after reading! :confused3 :lmao: :lmao:

Planning a trip is half the fun, isn't it? And planning and illustrating my plan with photos is the ultimate fun to me!
And I love to hear that you like it!

It took a LONG time, but I am finally caught up.

Hooray for being able to move from POR to OKW...I know how much you love it there.

Your pics of my "home" just warm my heart every time I see them. And this year I have to remember to take more pics of popcorn boxes, drinks, snacks, etc.

Your plans sound great Karin, and I really hope you and Tom get to meet up with Tina, Mark and Max.

Hooray for catching up! It was such a treat to be able to switch to OKW. You know how MUCH we love it there!

I really hope all our plans work out - a week is just so short! :scared1: But I really want to meet Tina, Mark and Max, and maybe even Tina's mom! :goodvibes

Loving your Day 5 plans :) That CP breakfast plate looks delish, could go for that right now :teeth:

Thank you, Stefy! Have you tried CP breakfast? I am so thankful to Kathy that she "made me" go there. We really enjoyed it and it gave us a head start into the park! :goodvibes

Day 5, February 23, 2011 - Part 2

And by then it will be time to leave the Magic Kingdom and board a Monorail over to the Grand Floridian Resort for ……..

Afternoon Tea at the Gardenview Room!
We had that planned for last year, but gave it up for the Ditch. So, we’ll try again this time.

Once we have finished our “tea party” we will head back to the resort for a very short rest and maybe a change of clothes before we head over to the Animal Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours.

We will probably arrive a little late and head straight for the Safari.

It’s fun to do it during EMHs as the drivers quite often stop for photos and not always stick exactly to their spiel!

Next stop will be Expedition Everest. We hope there won’t be too much of a line and we will be able to ride it more than once.

IMG_7321.jpg

IF we are very brave we will even venture over to the Dino Institute, for a ride in the dark.

IMG_7755.jpg

After that we will head back to the car and drive offsite for dinner. Not sure yet, but Tony Roma,

Red Lobster

and Olive Garden

come to mind.
I guess it will depend on what we find first.

After dinner we will head back to our resort for some much needed rest.

We've had breakfast there twice, once on our first trip and again on our last trip. The first time was the best, didn't enjoy it so much this year though.

Great plans for the evening, GF Tea looks like lots of fun :)

Tea at the GF looks like it would be fun. I may have to put that on my agenda for my July trip for my niece and I. Maybe she and I can have a fun little jaunt just the two of us.

See, I am getting old, I keep forgetting! ;) :lmao:
I am so looking forward to the GF tea even though I will bring my own tea as well - I looked at their tea menu and didn't see any Earl Grey on there! :lmao: Guess I bring "some" just in case! :rotfl2:

I have wanted to do that for quite a while yet. I love going out to tea when I am in Great Britain, visiting my aunt.
And I am so lucky Tom is going along with my ideas! ;) :lmao:

I have never done the GF Tea either but it certainly is on my list but for a solo trip !!Kyle would NOT be impressed and I don't think Judy would either !!!I have done Teas locally and put a few on every year for the consumers who LOVE them!!! The staff do too !!!

Hey Karin, when heading off site for dinner...have you ever tried the Ale House?? I like it there very much. Huge portions of good food for a reasonable price. And their nightly specials are a great deal. Here's the website with address of the one closest to Disney.

DAY 4 PLANS HAVE CHANGED!!!!!!!!

I haven't even finished posting all of our days and here we go again ......

we've made changes again!!!

Day 4 will start as planned, we'll head to the AK in the morning and will try to fit in as many rides as possible until 11am, when we will grab some lunch, preferrably Flame Tree if they open at 11am.

And after that we are heading to

trek4.jpg

YES, we have signed up for the brandnew tour that starts tomorrow!

trek1.jpg

Here are a few photos I got from the internet!

trek.jpg

We'll have to wear a harness and then get up close to the hippos, then crossing these

trek6.jpg

ropebridges, right above some crocs. :scared1:

They will take us to this lookout

trek3.jpg

where we will have time for a "biological break" :lmao:, some animal watching and some .....

trek5.jpg

Safari lunch! :rotfl2:

I am so excited! When I first found out about the tour I wanted to do it, but then it looked like you had to glide down a rope and I was not sure I would like it, so we just left it.
Yesterday I saw some photos and I loved what I saw, even though I am not good with heights! ;)
Today I called and booked for Feb 22. They were sold out for all the morning treks, but were able to put us on the 12pm one! It's a three hour tour and we paid the introductory price of 129$, will become 189$ after Feb. 26!!

You are allowed to bring a small camera, but the trek is accompanied by a WDW photographer and any photos are included in the price. Hope they can add them to our photopass!

Tina, should we meet at Epcot that day, you're gonna hear ALL about it! :goodvibes

We love our tea, don't we? :goodvibes
I am really looking forward to it ...... this trip will have so many firsts! I cannot wait!
Oh, and I am QUITE sure, Kyle would not like the tea party! :rotfl2:

I just checked their menu and it looks yummyyyyyyyyy - Tom will have to lock it into our GPS - this is one restaurant I definitely wanna try! :thumbsup2

I am so interested in doing the new tour in the Animal Kingdom too. I so wish that I could have signed up for it. You guys are going to have so much fun.
