Heavy responsibility!

I've been asked to be one of the judges for the primary school Easter bonnet parade / Egg competition this afternoon

I'm really looking forward to it because I know it'll be good fun, but I'm not looking forward to having to choose the 'best' in each category! I'd like them all to be winners.

I think they do all get a small egg for entering, so hopefully they'll be happy

Ouch - had to do this for the Christmas tree competition last year at DDs school It wasn't a pleasant experience mainly due to the fact that like you I wanted them all to be winners. Just don't take any notice of any of the mothers/fathers comments . . . . we had some really bolshy ones who couldn't understand why their little darlings only came third

Have fun (I took in a big bag of lollipops and gave all the children one, that made me feel slightly better ).

Well, I've survived any potential bust-ups with aggrieved parents so far!

There were three of us judging and we agreed we'd choose the entries that looked as though they weren't the result of mum or dad sitting up half the night 'helping'!

It was good fun and ... I was given an easter egg as a 'thank you'
