Heavenly Bed vs. Sleep Number

Let me say this about feeling the divider .... if you spoon in the middle of the bed, you will feel the divider, but if you don't spoon it's not a problem.
to spoon or not to spoon ... that is the question

DH and I are big "spooners" !!! I have yet to feel the divider in the middle, and our sleep numbers are not the same!!

We bought the Sleep Number about 2 weeks ago when QVC had it as a TSV. I will say that I can't sleep without a featherbed on top. But that isn't a problem with the bed, just something I am used too!!

We recently purchased a king sized Sleep Number, and like it fine.

My back begins hurting after about 6 hours on a soft mattress. When we had the old mattress (which was similiar to the Heavenly) I would have to get up and go to another bed in the house with a very firm mattress.

Ah! That first night on the Sleep Number, when I woke up with an aching back, I hit the button and firmed my side up to rock-hard. No more back pain, and I went back to sleep. I now have the mattress 'soft' for going to sleep at night, and firm it up later in the night if need be.

That is the main selling point of the Sleep Number: you are not committed to a soft, medium or firm mattress.
