Can anyone tell me if the pools at BWV are heated or not? We are going to be there from Nov. 1-5 and since the parks will more than likely close early, we thought it would be a nice way to relax. Thanks for your help.

Yes, they are. But keep in mind that it can be cool in the evenings in the late fall and winter months, and you might find it chilly to swim. Also the slide closes early (around 5:00pm) in the fall/winter months.

The pools are heated and will be plenty warm enough. We go down every year for halloween. Unless it is unusually cool you will be fine. The average temp. is about 75-80. We swim well into the night. The problem can sometimes be getting out of the pool if it is a cool night. You can also heat up in the big jacuzzi. Have a great trip....

We were at the Dolphin over Thanksgiving last year. They have a heated pool and we used it every night. As mentioned above, it isn't the actual swimming that is cold, it's the getting out part that will freeze you. We took 2 towels per person when we swam at night. We would get out and make a run for our towels. (ok, don't run at the pools, but you know what I mean. ;)) We'd wrap one towel around our waist and the other over our shoulders and we were fine. Most of our skin was covered so any breeze that came by, we really didn't feel.

Amykay, I took it upon myself to be the "unofficial" pool tester during my December/January WDW vacation. I can assure you that even if it is chilly outside, the pools should be warm enough for you to enjoy. I swam in the CBR, OKW, AKL, CR, and BWV pools (I actually stayed in all those resorts during my vacation since I spent 3-1/2 weeks at WDW). And I did midnight swims just about every night. For my midnight swims, the "bull's-eye" pool at the CR was the warmest, followed closely by the "clown" pool at the BWV. At the "clown" pool, the hot water seeps into the pool at various times of the evening. Sometimes you'll feel cooler water coming out of the water jets, and other times you'll feel the warm water coming out. I usually spent at least an hour in the pool every night and found that the warm water came out of the water jets a couple times an hour (maybe every 20 minutes or so).

I'm not a big swimmer in my family but my kids sure are and they swam everyday of our cool (temperature wise) vacation in February. They had no trouble even when it was in the 60's swimming at the Luna Park pool. We never tried the quiet pools, the clown slide was too much of a draw for them.:D
