Heat, Headaches but So Much Fun! My June Birthday TR (Trip Wrap-Up 10/12)

CUTE pics, Meghan! Madison looks like she really enjoys the dance with that big smile...she's adorable and so happy looking!!:) And yay that she placed again, good for her!!!:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing!!!:goodvibes

Thanks! She really does enjoy it and I'm so happy that she does. She always gets nervous before she dances, but always has a wonderful time. We have another one coming up on August 8th. Our dance school actually runs it, so I'll be volunteering at my first feis!

"All she wants for Christmas are her two front teeth..."

She is adorable! It's great she has found a hobby that the whole family can enjoy her do. Great photos!

I love her toothless smile. So adorable! My husband and I really like going to the competitions. So do my parents, so that's always nice. They're the pros on what to do/bring/etc at a feis since they've done it all with my little sister.

Hi Meghan,
I just had to show you, I hope you don't mind..my son has a VERY similiar smile as Madison...I think they are so cute when they are missing those top teeth!!!:cutie:

I love her curls. My hair is so thick that when I curl mine it doesn't stay perfectly curled like hers. Congratulations on fifth place!

Love it!! That one with the rollers is sooo funny!! At first I thought my screen was messed up...it almost looks like black static!! Ha!!!!! She is so sweet!!!

Aww, thanks, that's my oldest (Ethan)..they must be about the same age...he's going into 1st grade and will be 7 in early November....how about Madison?

Madison will be 7 in mid-October and will be in 2nd grade.

Isn't it so cute? Those curlers really do a great job.

Madison looks so cute in her hair curlers!! :cutie: And tell her congrats on her dancing! So does she have to be a certain age before she can wear a wig? Are all the girls supposed to have super curly hair like that? It's really cute! :thumbsup2

Most beginners and advanced beginners curl their own hair. Once they get to Novice, they usually start wearing wigs. Not everyone curls their hair; it's not required.

So, I got an email today from my Disney Visa and it's for Free Dining this fall/winter!!!! I, of course, called Tony and was told to not even think about it. :sad1: If you want to stay at a value resort, you can get the quick service plan for free. The regular dining plan is free if you select a mod or deluxe. I think that the price is great, but it's no go. The dates are 9/29-11/24 and 11/29-12/17. I've always wanted to go in the fall/winter!!!!! Oh well. Anyways....I guess this deal comes out to the public on the 27th, so I hope someone can use it.

I am VERY tempted to plan another trip, but I got the no go sign from Logan as well. :confused3

I have a visa and NEVER get emails from them. Maybe if I pay my bill on line?
Oh well, I heard about the deal on the DIS. Too bad I can't use it either. We have a room discount and military tickets. I was hoping for another room discount for an extra night. Oh well.

Wouldn't it be amazing to go 3 times in a year??? I guess people with APs do that. Too bad it's so far and flying is so expensive. That and it's not that easy to take off work three times a year for a week! SIGH.

Love Madison's pictures from the feis!! It really looks like she enjoys it.

Doesn't it stink when you get turned down. I told Tony I could go by myself, but he said no way. I don't think I could go without Madison anyways.

That's so strange that you don't get emails from them. We don't even use our Disney Visa but we always get the Rewards emails from them. Could they possibly be going to your Spam instead of your inbox? I'd love an AP so I could go many times a year! We've gotten some great airfare lately, so that wouldn't be too bad. :goodvibes

Meghan, we are headed back to Disney again in 30 days! I had the credit on Southwest and it only cost me $8 to fly my son and I to Orlando! My mom is going with us and dh has decided to take his step son to Cedar Point in Ohio for the week. He is the thrill rider. Five more days in Disney to make up for the 3 that my son was sick for in June! He also fractured his wrist since he came home and this will be a nice treat for him since he had to give up baseball and swimming for 4 weeks!
I haven't even done my trip report yet for June! I'm slacking but have been so busy with work and summer VBS at my church.

Take it from me APs are dangerous;)...we got them in January and I have in my head that if we can get a great airfare the trip is pretty much paid for (we have DVC too). So far this year we went on our usual January trip, then just me and hubby in May. We already had a NYE trip planned staying through the first week in Jan...but then the December fares came out on Southwest. We got $59 each way so we (Me, DD3, SIL and DN...couldn't get hubby to go 2x in Dec) are going for 3 nights the first week of December too. It sounds crazy, but at least I'm getting my money's worth out of my AP...right? :rolleyes1

I'm just worried that we'll decide in the next couple months that we DO want to go, and all the good deals will be sold out.
Though if we HAD to stay Deluxe, not Value, I don't think I'd be too upset.:rolleyes1

I definately wouldn't mind having to stay at a deluxe!

I got a pin for free dining a few weeks ago and I had asked DH prior to that if we did happen to get one could we go in Dec. for Claire's b-day. He said no with out even a thought. But we usually go in March, and it would just be a few months earlier and we would save so much more money. He's clueless on that part. It makes me so mad. LOL!
MIL told me yesterday I should push it, but I don't think I will. He's always grumpy at Christmas time anyways. He hates that I actually have to spend money top buy gifts for people. Bh Humbug there! LOL!

I know what you mean! We started calling my dh "The Grinch" last Christmas. He was a total sourpuss. We were in the car and Christmas music came on the radio, he reached out and turned it off. He complained about everything we had to do for the Christmas party -- for his family! And he really does almost nothing for Christmas -- he shops for my presents and wraps them, and cooks Christmas breakfast and dinner. I do everything else -- planning, decorating, cards, family letter, mailings, presents, wrapping, baking, stockings, costumes for pageants -- you get it!

He is awesome and I adore him, but I don't get why :santa: makes him so pirate: :confused3
