Heard its very crowded today

Heard the MK is really busy with a huge line of cars waiting to get in this morning. Some are speculating because of the holiday, or free dining?

Monday is usually one of the busier days at MK. Combine that with the fact that the weather was bad the last couple of days and the park will be a little busier than normal. But September busy is nothing like July busy, and it's just as likely that the backup was caused by them having fewer gates open as it is because of more people.

But the thing I heard was that it is "holiday/summer level" crowded, not just "it's Monday and it's a nice day" crowded.

100 minute Cinderella and 75 minute Jungle Cruise is pushing close to peak waits

But headliners at or under 100 minutes is more like crowd level 6

Disney has extended park hours for DAK & MK by 1 hour for today.

Most likely not free dining since they would be staying on property. Some may drive to MK but not enough to create a huge line of cars. I would guess schools are closed for the holiday.

Thanks, I had googled "is today a holiday" before I asked and nothing like that came up.

MNSSHP starting this week, food and wine starting. There's lot of reasons for those that want to be first to be there! Add in the school holiday and some people could pull off a trip for both openings.

Ah, I did not know F & W was starting as well as MNSSHP. I guess that would explain it, add in that many schools are closed and it would increase crowds by a lot.

Ugh, we're going on Saturday and was hoping for very low crowds. I didn't realize that MNSSHP would make everything *that* insane or we'd have gone last week.

Oh well, we'll have fun anyway, but it would be nice if the crowds settle down a bit before next week LOL

Where I live the kids are off from school today and tomorrow for the Jewish holiday. I know many people that thought it would be a great time to go to Disney. They are staying a little longer than the four day weekend and the kids aren't missing too much school.

We were there today/ this morning. It was more crowded than I like and we were glad to park hop. It was not summer/ holiday crowded IMO. More like a 5.

We would not have gone there today except it was the day I was able to get Elsa FP so we had a Princess morning. And 'the' really great friend of Merida was there which alone made it all worthwhile!

F&W does not start until 9/25.

F&W soft launches 1 week early, it has every year. If had to find a spot I could vacation around school, this year I would have taken the smaller soft launch over the larger opening week especially since I could combine it with MNSSHP.

We had pre park opening breakfast...between 9-11 it was PERFECT. We waited not more than 5 minutes for anything. At 1130 we rode the carousel of progress (hubbies fave) and when we came out he said woah it looks like when we were hear in May! (That was a 6 when we went iin may) so yeah...much busier than normal but man was the weather beautiful today!
