Note also that of the top 3 states, Minn. and Mass. do NOT have a death penalty. New Hampshire has not executed a prisoner since 1939:) :) :) ..................

so it's healthier for criminals there...woo hoo

It doesn't surprise me that Colorado and Utah are in the top ten.

EROS what the heck does that have to do with health rankings?

What's sad is that Minnesota dropped down to second instead of first due to the steady rise in use of tobacco products by our youth! It has risen drastically. With all the info out there, EVERYWHERE, about the how bad smoking, chewing, etc. is, more and more kids are doing it! I just don't get it.:(

Very interesting, Jules. Michigan isn't a very healthy state and neither is Texas :(

LOL! Well at least Mississippi isn't last....we usually are last on everything!

Hi Jipsy...............it's hard to stay "healthy" when the State kills you:jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: ...........

Hmm, the higher ranked the state, the less famous their cuisine is....coincedence? :teeth:

Well, Jeff, you have never had an IOWA (#7) PORK CHOP, now, have you????;)

jipsy, in regard to your question to EROS, one has absolutley nothing to do with the other. It is yet ANOTHER jamming of an already overstated opinion down our throats! Those who choose (see, my enhanced mode functions work too!) to commit capital crimes do so knowing the potential consequences.

Meanwhile, I am glad to live in a Top Ten state. As long as I don't commit a capital offense;) , I can look forward to a long healthy life:) !

We're number 48. That doesn't really surprise me, though. The other night in my childbirth class we were talking about which fats are healthier and which should be severely limited or avoided. One woman wanted to know if lard was okay.

WOO HOO! Yet again, I am so proud of my home states of LA and MS!!!

Of course, LA can't help that it is the drainage pit for most of the country.

Bummer--Georgia's 40th!

I grew up in Arkansas *cough cough* :p
