Alright DISers! I am asking for your help with finding some healthy freezer recipes.
I am currently in the process of stocking up a new freezer with frozen meals. I am due to have our first baby in another 6 weeks and would like to have a couple weeks worth of food stocked up.
So far we have finished making Chicken Lasagna, Lentil Soup, Chicken Chimichangas, and Crab Cakes. I plan to also add Polenta, Falafels, Spanakopita, Split Pea soup.
I am looking for any other types of recipes I can make that are healthy. I would love to do stuffed shells but do not have a good recipe for them, and how do I freeze them?
The stuffed shell recipes I have seen before all were not good calorie wise. I am also looking for other lasagna recipes. We have two chicken lasagnas in there now but would like to add 2 more lasagnas. We will have in-laws around for the first several weeks after the baby is born so lasagnas make a nice meal to feed everyone.
To work with I have: Salmon fillets, Tilapia fillets, Pork Chops, Chicken breasts, Ground Turkey. I could get ground meat if needed but don't have it right now. I am also keeping several roasts in the freezer to use for slow cooker recipes.
So give me your best, and preferable healthy freezer recipes! If you have nutritional info it would be appreciated as well. Thanks!!
