Going to US/IOA in October and I am very picky about food. DH and I typically try to eat as healthy as possible (big on grilled chicken, salmon, fruit, etc...) and just wanted to see what kind of options DH and I will have. Anybody have suggestions on places to eat, menu, snacks available, etc...? I am big into planning and would rather have an idea where to go and what we can get so we don't get stuck eating hamburgers and french fries for a week... Thanks! :mickeybar

On the park maps (and maybe on the website, :confused3 ) there is the symbol of an apple of places with vegetarian/healthy choice. Some places that I remember having them are:

IOA:
Mythos
Confisco's
Comic Strip Cafe
Cafe 4
Thunder Falls Terrace

USF:
Finnegans
Lombard's
Captain Quint's
Cafe Labamba

sorry...i can't remember the names of places but i was dieting when i was there and there was all kinds of stuff i could eat in the parks. most of the counter service places had fruit cups and grilled chicken sandwiches. i just made certain to stay away from mayo and things with cheese on it or asked them to take it off. alot of the places had side salads and i was always able to find healthy salad dressings. also noticed the addition of carrots instead of fries on the sides of burgers and sandwiches at some places.

The grilled chicken sandwiches at The Burger Digs are really good plus they have a large "fixins" bar as well. Also, they serve a wonderful chicken wrap at Thunder Falls Terrace near JPRA. I've had the wrap many times....yummy!
