Finally received our quarterly Blue Cross/Blue Shield bill yesterday, the 12th. Right on the statement it says "allow 10 days for your payment to reach us"...Um, it's due the 20th, in 8 days.
I sent it right off this morning, and added a sticky note letting them know what I think, and that it would be appreciated if they sent their bills out in a more timely fashion.
Yes, I know some people are going to say pay on-line, I'm not even sure if they offer that service as we've never gotten a notice from them about it like we have with other bills (phone, satellite TV, etc.) and even if they did offer we wouldn't want to pay that way. DH is too fearful of on-line banking.
Plus they raised our bill another $130 so we're now paying $2100 quarterly, just for the 2 of us, with no co-pay for doctor visits, no dental/vision, and a huge deductible.
On the bill it said this rate is "good for 6 months", so they may raise it again within the year. If they do that we may have to look for other, cheaper insurance.
