I heard on the news that Disney is going healthy and getting rid of junk food. Does this mean no more chimichsangas, no more Mickeu ice cream bars, no more choc Cinderella slippers???? What about soda and fries????? After all we are on vacation!!!!!!Does anyone know the REAL STORY?

Relax...take a deep breath and count to ten;)

The Podcast folks were responding to a questions posed by a WDW marathin runner who wanted to know if there was a place on WDW property that they could get some health food from. Kevin's reply was that at this time their is no health food stores on Disney property but that one is scheduled to open in the coming year.

This will NOT replace all or any of the wonderful junk food their is to be had at WDW, it will simply be an addition and an alterative to what we all enjoy on our vacations at one location:goodvibes

I think disney is basically chucking out the Trans fats...which incidentally most fast food and restaurant estb. are doing anyway.I wouldn't get too jacked about it...unless of course they decided to get rid of cheeseburgers and just make Boca Burgers...no offense to Boca burger people out there.;)

What I hears was in regards to childhood obesity so it probably is about the trans fats. I think we all deserve to make our own choices regarding eating habits so I do not object to fruits and veggies being seen more at WDW and last year I thought there were more healthy options than years ago. Judst don't want them to go crazy on us. I do think they could remove the desserts from the counter meals on the DDP and save us a couple of bucks.
