healing a skinned nose?

How do you make a nice sized skinned scrape heal faster? We take christmas pictures every year and I just scraped my nose from the top to the middle.

Not much you can do but let time do its thing. Be sure to put some antibacterial ointment on it to prevent infection. Otherwise, keep it clean and let it dry up or scab over. At least then you can put make up on it. Also, ask the photographer if he can touch up the picture if it really shows.

Aquaphor. That stuff is amazing. Keep putting it on and it will go away fast.

1% Hydrocortisone Creme with Aloe & Vitamin E (make sure it's the creme and not the ointment!). Heals things fast and reduces redness. Apply a few times a day. I buy the generic brand at Target:

Been there, done that. The wonders of makeup foundation/concealer sp?!
I have 2 boys and one would notoriuosly have a mark on their faces for important pictures.

Neosporin..it will help a skinned place heal faster, it will even help a stubborn pimple heal!

do they still make spray bandages? I used that on my son's face and it healed so much faster than his scrap on his arm. Not sure what it was called, kinda stung when I put it on though.

Time. I faceplanted in the driveway a couple of weeks ago and it took about a week to heal. I would have thought it would take longer but it was relitivley quick. I think you still have a chance for it to be healed by Christmas.

You can always have the photo retouched. Even places like Kiddie Kandids do this now.
Someone always gets injured the week of photos - I feel your pain!

This might sound gross... diaper rash ointment. It works miracles on skin irritations that are red / scraped / sore.

Although it will sting, I'd apply liquid bandage, allow it to dry, then apply make-up to conceal it for the photos.

I had a big scrape on my knee recently - not a great place for a band-aid - and the liquid bandage worked really well.
