Not much you can do but let time do its thing. Be sure to put some antibacterial ointment on it to prevent infection. Otherwise, keep it clean and let it dry up or scab over. At least then you can put make up on it. Also, ask the photographer if he can touch up the picture if it really shows.

I have 2 boys and one would notoriuosly have a mark on their faces for important pictures.
do they still make spray bandages? I used that on my son's face and it healed so much faster than his scrap on his arm. Not sure what it was called, kinda stung when I put it on though.
Time. I faceplanted in the driveway a couple of weeks ago and it took about a week to heal. I would have thought it would take longer but it was relitivley quick. I think you still have a chance for it to be healed by Christmas.
You can always have the photo retouched. Even places like Kiddie Kandids do this now.
