Heads up for July 2010 visitors

The second weekend in July, Anaheim will host the MLB All Star Game with Fanfest at the Convention Center.

I'm not familiar with this, as I'm from the UK, what does this mean for the parks exactly, I'm assuming bigger crowds? Cheerleaders?

Well, MLB stands for Major League Baseball. So I'm guessing a Fanfest would be some big party/convention for fans. Don't know how this will affect the parks though. Maybe they will be so in to base ball that they all stay away. Or... the one person in the family who likes baseball talks the rest of the family in to going by saying they can go to DLR. We went last June during a giant convention of teenagers and I never noticed the difference in the parks.

We are thinking of going end of July or maybe first week of August.

Thanks, I decided to do a bit of digging and found out that there are three events at the Angels Stadium, From 11th to 13th July inclusive, those dates are in my itinerary for us to be at Disneyland then. What can you do? I guess when the games aren't on, then the folk will be in the parks, anyone know how it usually affects park crowds? Thanks

Also, what are the chances of getting 2 tickets to the allstar game? how would I go about getting them if possible at all?

I'll be there during that time frame. I wonder how it will affect the crowds at DLR? It would be fun to score tickets to a MLB game while there though.
