Just a heads up. I called to reallocate points from one reservation to another. Pretty straight forward. Well when checking my points after we hung up it did not add up I was missing more than the reservations was for and I had banked points available. Which I shouldn't have. So I called back. I was told "yada, yada" is why it looks like Im missing points so I broke down the numbers and also said okay where did these banked points come from? The way DVC shows how and where points are used is confusing even for most CM's after 30 minutes of not being able to figure it out she went to a super. Another 15-20 minutes and I was told yes there are missing points and they dont know why so they have to talk to IT to get it figured out. She said maybe it was the updates that caused the problem.

I wish I had just waited since the trip is not until January. But here I am.

If you do modify or reallocate TAKE NOTES and screenshots.
 
Thanks for the heads up! I was debating reallocating some of my points around a couple reservations (pulling 2026 into 2025, and then 2027 into 2026) but I'll hold off.
 

It has been exactly 7 days since I have been unable to book my home resort with available points for March 2026. The points are visible in my account but neither myself or DVC have been able to use the points. They have told me they have "reserved" the room or "put the room on hold" (forget which) for when IT fixes the problem.
 
I’m having an issue. I have 2 contracts under 1 membership, both are 100 points AKV March use year. Both have full 100 pts in 2026. I’m walking a value studio. Every time I modify, it only shows the points available that are not tied up in the reservation. This was fine when it was under 100 pts for the week, it would just take from the other contract. But now that a week is over 100 pts, I’m scared I’m going to lose it. I think I’ll have to drop down to less nights to ensure it thinks I have enough pts available.

Anybody with any similar issue?

I had no issue doing other modifications to a july 4 weekend reservation yesterday using the same membership/contracts, so not sure what’s happening.

Is it possible that they added a layer to booking those high demand rooms that get walked?

I had no problem walking a VGF studio the past few days…plenty of availability,, as a test…but someone else mentioned that BWV resort view was an issue?

And it used the points I had in the reservation as I only had enough for the two nights without borrowing.

Or, it’s a particular glitch from these last updates.

ETA: n you said it works if you are under 100 and have extra points to cover….which seems more glitchy then to me…but who knows!

Can you just shorten your walk by the days so you don’t go over 100? And then add back on? Or will you eventually need more than 100?

Oh gosh I hope not a new layer but a glitch. Our friends are walking a 2-bedroom resort view at BWV and def don’t have enough points if this happens. Especially during this super high point week. Just started today so I guess we’ll see tomorrow.
 
And yes, I plan to shorten it for now.

Works if it’s under 100 pts because I have 200 total. Say 98 are used in the reservation. It shows 102 available to “book” the new dates. But now it’s 108 so tells me I only have 92 available so I don’t have enough and it won’t go forward. I’m going to drop a night before going forward. Actually have to drop 2 looks like.

Fingers crossed our friends account doesn’t have the same issue for BWV. I’ll find out tomorrow.

Edit - friends account appears to be working fine for BWV resort view. Only booked 3 nights to start due to points available. Went in to see what would happen if trying to add a 4th night and it behaved as normal (showed full pts available including the ones already tied up in the reservation). Theirs is all in 1 contract. I wonder if mine being 2 contracts is causing it. Who knows. I’ve at least got a workaround of booking less nights during this high pts week and hopefully it’ll get fixed at some point.

In the "Completed Reservations" list, none of me actual past reservations are showing up, except the upcoming reservation I have booked for December 2025 is listed as a "past" reservation. And also the same one is showing up normally in the My Vacation Plans list. Definitely something going on with Disney IT. Because that never happens...

Same here. My past reservations shows all my future reservations from now until next March!

There are so many problems with the website right now it’s a joke. To name a few:

- people unable to modify as it doesn’t show the points used for the current reservation as available for the modified reservation (seems to apply to AKV only)
- website very slow and errors out frequently
- contracts with zero points not showing up on ‘manage vacation points’
- resale contracts being available to book restricted resorts in certain circumstances
- members unable to transfer points to other members
- some reports of people not being able to book at all!
 
They fixed my banked points issue. But there is still missing points. I dont have it in me to call them today.

Incoming crazy rant... I wish they wouldn't play Disney ride music while on hold. Anytime I have ever called Disney in the past the hold music makes me super happy and gives me the feels. I have to call DVC so often and many times it's for stressful things like this that the music isnt bringing me as much joy as before. End crazy rant.
 
I just had a relatively long-shot waitlist fill and now I really REALLY need to reallocate and use my 24 OTU points so I can free up my contract points for another long-shot waitlist….will a waitlist pick up OTU points if that’s all that is available? I set the waitlist to not borrow…

If the waitlist is matching within the 7 months booking window then the CM matching the waitlist to a reservation will use whatever points that are available including OTUP.

If the waitlist is matching within the 7-11 months booking window then only home resort points can and will be used.

If they are sitting in your account, yes, they will! As long as it’s 7 months or less

If you want to be sure they know what to do, chat with MS and ask them to note you want OTU points to be used!

If you get to reallocate and free up your own, chat with MS to remove the note…assuming you added it!
 
What’s going on with the site? I went to choose one of my memberships and it’s populating an AK-Jambo contract which I don’t own!

Separately, what happens when a booking crosses over 2 UYs? Do I need to book 2 reservations? This is why I don’t like my April UY. Causes issues for spring break/Easter bookings depending on when Easter falls.
