Headless Horseman at Boo to You Parade

We had a great spot right by the bridge as it transitions into the castle area. The Headless Horseman stopped there for a bit before getting the go-ahead to proceed.

You were standing right where we were! Such a great spot!

I got to do the Ft Wilderness Segway tour and part of it was going to the stables where the horses are kept= got to see the horse who runs up close and personal, it was great! Can't wait to see him in action at the party though!

The Headless Horseman was one of my favorite things about MNSSHP last year. We just sat on the curb in the hub and had a good view of him.

We are going next year to the boo to you parade would love to see the headless horseman

We stake out a spot right by where the parade first begins. That way, you're one of the first people to see the parade and can go off to do other things while the parade is still winding down the parade route.

You can ask a cast member where the begining of the parade route is.

This is from Frontierland (near LTT, I think):

Thank you from me to all those who shared photos!!!!!!!!!

my first MNSSHP this year-I am glad HH is at both parades. :goodvibes

I will be there in costume- disillusioned, fed up with the economy, taxed to death American voter.

Hey OP- this is a little out there, but... I noticed you were from outside NYC. I don't know if you've ever made it, but Sleepy Hollow NY (Tarrytown) runs a great legend weekend around Halloween, with the headless horseman, reciting of the legend, folk singing, etc. If you're in the area, you can even visit Washington Irving's home as well as the Dutch church where the real Katrina Van Tassel is buried. It's something to do when you're not in Disney! My DH and I used to own a townhouse within walking distance of the festivities. It was a ball and one of the things I missed most when we moved.

We sat on that little "island" opposite the entrance on Main Street - we watched the headless horseman come directly down Main Street :)

He actually rode a lot faster than we were expecting and we almost misses him. He only rode once during our party due to weather. Just have your camera ready! MNSSHP is super fun! Enjoy!

On our honeymoon, DH and I were asked to be the Grand Marshalls of the Boo To You parade, which was awesome but I was disappointed that we'd miss the HH since we'd be IN the parade. We went to the backstage prep area right behind Splash Mountain and we were seated in the lead vehicle (an old fashioned car that we were told belonged to Walt). I was telling the driver how excited we were about being in the parade but bummed that we'd miss the Horseman. She smiled at me and looked right past me over my shoulder....I turned around, slowly, to see what she was smirking at and THERE HE WAS. The horse was practically breathing down my neck! I had a moment just like Ichabod in the cartoon.

And then he trotted off.

I goggled at him and then, being a professional riding instructor and horse trainer, asked the driver "WOW...how does the rider see where he's going?" She gave me a quizzical look and shrugged and said "I don't know...he's HEADLESS."

Where's the "Like" button when you need it?!? :thumbsup2 Too funny. Thanks for sharing.

And the photos of the Headless Horseman make me so ready for October!

You must not have been taxed to DEATH if you can afford a trip to WDW...just saying....I try so hard to not bring my personal beliefs to this board or be a d-bag who comments on other's behavior, but save the political commentary for another board. WDW is the place I go to escape from that. People are entitled to their own opinion, but this thread is about a parade.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but curious if the HH still rides before both parades? We have dinner at BOG at 6:15 and planned to do the 10:30 parade.

He does, conditions permitting.

Curious as to what year that was. I know this was an older post but still curious just the same, for a couple of reasons.

I was on top of the Karma bus a couple of years ago.

I stepped out of a shop at just the right time, NOBODY blocked a view in front of a storefront, and I got the best pics of the horseman and his steed.

They are one of my best memories at Walt's Place. :goodvibes

usually, Im the one stepping on the gum and crud in the 7-11 parking lot on a hot august day.............

We were buy Casey's corner last friday night, and he rode pretty close by us.

MNSSHP is awesome! HH is a highlight worth catching. My sone still talks about the grave digger who scraped his shovel right in front of him and how close he got. Terrific memory!
