First, the new Avatar explained, GS and his Father both shipped out, GS in Navy, DS#2 in Army (3rd deployment, going on 15 years in Military)

we are leaving in the AM, long western trip (3.5 weeks), SLC for thanksgiving at DD#2s home, stopping along the way at DS#1 home in NM to visit GKs and GGK ( 2 days), Petrified Forest in Holbrook AZ (2 days), Las Vegas for the F1 race, Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam (3 days) up to Provo UT (4 days) then back home same route 66, I will post pictures as often as i can. Love the new Motorhome

Thank you, DS#1 is a retired Navy CPO (20 years), DS #3 served in Navy normal tour, we've had blue star flags hanging for 25 years, praying for no gold ones!

Oh yes, first snow storm in the motorhome, 23 degrees at 6500' just north of cedar city ut, nice we can run the boiler while traveling, nice and warm. 50f at camp, 4000' much warmer

Loved your Route 66 pictures. Years ago, we tried a portion of Route 66. The road we were on was so bumpy and poorly kept up that we ended up going another route. Looks like a great trip.

Agree, we did the side trips but stayed on I-40 most the time
