Heading to Disney World after cruise, what time might we arrive?

We are planning a cruise on the Dream, followed by a few nights at Disney World. If I wanted to plan a lunch at HS on our debarkation day, what would be the safest time to plan it? We will be using Disney's transportation from the port to the resort.

If you are on one of the first busses leaving PC you will probably make it to Disney resorts between 10:15 and 10:45 AM. Book a lunch at around 11:00 and after and you should be good to go.

The buses for the resorts do not start running until 9:00. If your resort is the first stop for the bus you are one (they may stop at up to 3 different resorts) you could be there by 10:15-10:30 and the latest. Then you'd need to catch the WDW transportation from your resort to HS. Not sure how long that would take.

On our one experience trying this a few years ago, we arrived at our resort a little after 10. We were the second stop. By the time we had checked in and caught the bus to our selected park for the day, we arrived at the park about 11.30. This was not a big concern as we planned to stay until closing so had a good 12 hours to enjoy the park that day.

Last week, we got to AOA by about 10:30 (with I believe two stops before us at All Stars-although I can't remember!)

I should not have said by 11 without knowing which resort they were staying at.
We took a 4 night cruise in June and stayed at Yacht Club afterwards. My husband and son took the bus and were at the resort by 10:30 (or somewhere close to that) And we were able to get over to HS by 11:00 with no problem.
Obviously, this was our personal experience and I should have asked where they were staying before stating they could make it to HS by 11:00 AM.

Just curious - did you immediately start walking to HS when you arrived? Or did you head straight to the dock and find a boat there already boarding? I ask because I am trying to convince my wife that we will probably get from Crescent Lake to HS quicker by walking than the time spent waiting for a boat plus the time of the boat ride itself.

We walked. And yes, it seemed to be the quickest way to get there as the boats don't always cooperate. lol

For the past four times we have done this, we used private transportation. Got picked up at the port at around 8:45 or 9 a.m. and were at our resort before 10:30 (sometimes by 10 a.m. depending on traffic). Because the resorts take care of your bags if your room isn't ready, we were out to the parks usually by 11 a.m. or so!
