Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

Wow! Lots to comment on!

1. Love the countdown calendar! What a clever idea of putting the puzzle in the middle!

2. Ever since we got our smaller camcorder, we've recorded so much more of the parks. I even took it on ToT last time and filmed it! We at least doubled the amount we recorded previous to us getting the smaller one. I'm betting your going to love it!

3. I'm glad you found a stroller! We're fortunate that Lauren can still fit in her old umbrella stroller. I'm hoping that this will be the last trip we need it though. I love the colors of yours!

4. What a beautiful cake! I never would have known that about buttercream and humidity. Now I'll know!

5. What a cute dress you sewed! You're so creative!

The dress is so cute, Leanne! I love the yellow with the red/white/black. It really gives the Minnie dress a different look, and makes it stand out!

Good job! :thumbsup2

WOW!!!! You are so creative!!! I LOVE everything! :lovestruc That cake is amazing!!! The dress came out awesome!!! Your countdown puzzle is so creative too! I have been trying to come up with something and I have all pics of things cut out and taped on a poster board and now I don't know what to do with it... I may just scratch that idea and try something else! How exciting for the early Mother's Day present!! I was thinking this year maybe Wayne and I can get one for xmas so that we will have it in January. These kids are not going to have these little squeaky voices much longer.

Sounds like you are doing great with the running.... keep up the good work. Maybe we will have to run one of those Disney Marathons some day!?

Edit: I just went back and read my thread... you said running around... not running!! Anywho great job on the loss this week!
Thanks so much Nickie! I hope you come up with something you're happy with on the countdown calendar. You are so creative I'm sure whatever you decide will be great! :thumbsup2

I'm really happy with the handycam. These little ones aren't going to be so small and cute much longer. Lindsey is already showing signs of being a pre-teen. :scared1:

I was doing the C25K program before softball started and I was doing pretty good. If you want to do a marathon, I'd totally do it with you. It would probably be some good motivation to get back out there and I love any excuse to get down to WDW. ;)

Thanks Alicia! I think I will really enjoy filming different things at WDW also. I love how light it is. I kind of wish the picture quality were just a little bit better as I wouldn't pack the Canon at all. I hope the girls get to dance with Prince Charming again this year because I think it would be great to capture on film. I'd also like to get the look on Josie's face at BBB at her reveal.

We still have Josie's big stroller, but it is just too much to pack on and off of the buses, and it was a BIG pain last year during the downpours. Lucky you for already having an umbrella stroller that works for you. I hope this stroller works out as well as we think it will. Luckily Josie doesn't fight us on riding in her stroller. I probably won't bring one with us after this year either, but it will depend on how she is doing keeping up at the zoo and such before we go next spring. (Look at me talking about another spring trip before I even go on this trip. :lmao:)

Thanks on the cake and the dress. I guess those things are my outlet. It's how I get rid of stress. Everyone gets outta my way when I'm working on a project. :lmao:

Thanks Michelle! You can't tell in the photo I posted, but the yellow has small white polka dots. I saw something on etsy that had the yellow and red and I just really liked how it looked so I went for it. I'm glad you like it too. :goodvibes

On the planning front...

Yesterday, Sea World announced a major conservation program where children under 12 get in for $5 with each adult normal price admission. I'm actually thinking of going to Sea World one day. Joe loved it in 2003...I didn't so much bit overpriced to me. Lindsey loved it (she was almost 3) and Josie's never been. I'm thinking of going on Thursday (May27) because we were going to check out DVC and don't have anything planned that day now at all. This is all speculation at this point and would be kept a surprise until Joe's birthday. I'm thinking of buying the tickets online and giving them to him for his b-day on the 17th. He's mentioned a few times that he wants to go back.

What do you all think? I have a rental car reserved for that week so getting to and from won't be an issue. :confused3

What a multi-talented woman you are! I haven't sewed anything big since Lacey was little. I used to make her sundresses all the time. As she got a little older, she turned into a tomboy like her mama and didn't want to wear dresses or have a bow on anything. I even had to cut the little bows off her panties. She still hates dressing up but will if she has too. I'm the same way.

Anyway, you did a fantastic job and save those little girl moments as long as you can.

YES! You should definitely go to Sea World! We went in May '08 and really enjoyed it. Maybe I can post a few pictures to try to convince you.

Why not do Sea World? (Spoken like a woman who has never been off Disney property when in Orlando!:rotfl:)

Love the dress!!! I will have to go visit the site you mentioned. Did you get a progamable sewing machine? Mine is just a small Singer with a couple of handfuls of stitches. I would love to figure out the applique thing!

BTW, your package should arrive today!;) (It was sorted through your hometown PO this morning!...love tracking and confirmation!)

Lynn

I love Sea World! John doesn't care for it at all. Hunter hasn't been since he was very small so he doesn't remember too terribly much about it but when he looks at the pictures, he swears he remembers.

My Mama has never seen a whale and we thought about taking a day off and going to Sea World simply so she could say she's seen a whale. However, it would be a pretty steep price to pay just to say that.

I say do it !!! We went in 2007 and DD LOVED the Dolphins !! I wouldn't go every year but every once in a while is great !!! The shows are awesome !!

Wow, I have been missing out over here! You have been so busy and where in the world have I been anyway?

What a cute story about the DS. She did try, didn't she?

That cake is awesome! I am ready to have cake for lunch, now! You sure have patience! :goodvibes

I love that dress you made! ...and you Countdown Calendar...love the puzzle idea.

And I think you should go to Sea World for sure! We went for the 1st time last year and the whole family really enjoyed it. You'll have a great time!

that is such an adorable dress!! I love it! Of course, the model is adorable too. :goodvibes: I want to try applique too but I am nervous about it!

I would say go for it since it is not interfering with any of your other plans. Plus with Joe wanting to Sea World--what a great gift for him! I know I would love to go (never been) but it is not going to happen this trip.
