Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

Yippee Connie is back! It has been fun to explore all of my options. I hope Danny will concede and work something out. I promise the crowds are near as bad the week before Memorial Day as they are Memorial Day Week. It's insane. We did that once and never again. CRAZY crowds. Tell Danny I will bring him some super special gear head stuff he lets you come in May. :lmao: I know that probably won't help at all but just throwing it out there. :rotfl: Still have my fingers crossed!

Love the deluxe dining and all your selections!! I think you will love it too- it is a lot of food, but you dont have to eat the app and dessert at every meal. One thing we did was actually split meals sometimes, and then we were left with more credits for the signature dining!!

What is the Safari Celebration?

Hi Nickie! I think the kids will enjoy having the appetizers available. The Safari Celebration is a grand gathering experience. You get a safari after the park closes at 6:30 followed by dinner at Tusker house. Then you have a character meet and greet and then you get to get up close with some exotic animals. Mary and I have linked our ressies as a grand gathering. So we are doing this together. My girls will LOVE the animal encounter. A private safari around dusk is kind of cool too. I'm really excited about it. We're thinking of maybe adding Tony's breakfast or a fireworks cruise also. :goodvibes

I called the WD Travel CO today to make a change.... :) The CM I spoke to hopes "my sister" and I have a wonderful vacation :love::cool1:

I know you and your sister will have a wonderful time!!!...I did that last May with my DGF from grade school...our names Bonnie and Connie guess that made it believeable (good thing she didn't look at our ID's our bdays are only 4 mos apart):lmao: (we added her to our extra room for one night)...

I didn't know at the time that you don't have to be related to share pins.... :rotfl: In the future you can just add her no need to be sisters. :rotfl2:

We have our volunteer opportunity for Give a Day Get a Day! We will be volunteering as a family at the Bordeaux Long Term Care facility. It's the largest long term care facility in Tennessee. It's going to be so fun. :cool1: Josie won't earn fastpasses but she is welcome to participate. Disney won't allow for anyone under 6 but the facility itself doesn't mind at all. What a great opportunity to teach our children to give back!

I actually emailed the coordinator back and asked her if my Girl Scout troop could participate as well. I know the girls would love a community service project of this nature. :goodvibes

That sounds awesome! I use to do things like that when I was (waaayyyy) younger...my parents were in the Knights of Columbus and adopted a place we would go entertain and bring goodies...they always enjoyed seeing us (the younger) ones!

That is so great. We are waiting until April-when Avery turns 6. I still want to find a place that will let Cayley come as well. So important to teach them to give back young!!

Sadly the closest place for us to participate in the GAD promotion that allows 6 year-olds is well lover an hour away. I'd like for Cooper to be able to participate as well, so maybe I'll have to make some calls.

BTW, I'm sure you and your "sister" will have a great time.

I think it is going to be great. Talked again with the coordinator today and we are going to have a big party for the residents. We are going to bake a bunch of cupcakes and bring them with us. We're going to decorate them with the residents and do their nails and make up. Joe will be getting some board games going for the men. It's going to awesome. I can't wait. :goodvibes

You might want to start looking now so that you can get in, in April. Looks like slots are filling up fast. :goodvibes

Keep checking Megan. I read on the Budget Board that you can broaden your search and some of the opportunities will let you do greeting cards (for troops, nursing homes) and such and just mail them in where they are needed. You might look for one of those also. Hopefully you will find something. It's a shame that people want to give and there isn't anything close. I've seen a lot of change in the opportunities available in our area in just the last few days, so hopefully something will open up. Seems to be a very popular program. :goodvibes

"Sister" :rotfl2:. I emailed them and asked them if I could use my pin if my sister and her family wanted to join us. They said yes. Turns out I can use my pin for anyone as long as they travel when I do. :rotfl2: Mary is my DIS sister though.

Hope you're having a great night!

Hey! I'm here...saw your post on another PTR and decided to come on over. I saw your ticker and thought you must be staying at the Polynesian! Ahhhh I'm so jealous! We love that resort so much. :goodvibes Time to catch up! popcorn::

Thanks for coming over! :welcome: We've never stayed at the Poly but we are super excited at the opportunity. After Bob Iger announced that deep discounts will be discontinued in late 2010 I thought I better jump at the opportunity for 40% off. Thanks again for reading! I will have to hop over to your report also. :goodvibes
