I'm not sure about Tony's but the Safari Celebration is 2 TS so I'd say it probably is as well. I need to go find out what this PeepFest is all about...:confused3

Did everybody look for volunteer opportunities today? I signed us up to get more info on 2 different opportunities. One is an animal program at a Nursing Home and the other is to do yardwork for military families with a member of the family overseas on duty. I think this will be great. The fastpasses are just an added bonus. :goodvibes

I looked at ours and there was only one thing Dallas was old enough to do and I'm not that interested in playing around where the water moccasin's live.
Everything else is age 12 and up. I am going to keep checking every day to see if they offer anything else.

Bummer. Hopefully more opps will open up. We have lots of opportunities as we are between two major military bases and Nashville is only 45 minutes away. There were some opportunities here but they weren't for children under 12.

I priced out some of the new room discounts available using the general public room discounts that came out yesterday. I was really quite shocked to find that Savannah view AKL and the Poly are only about $190 different. For some reason I thought it would be more. There was only a $20 dollar difference between the Poly and BLT. I checked out the Beach Club too and it is significantly cheaper for a studio (which would be plenty for us)-like $400 cheaper than the Poly. I think the girls would enjoy BCV more than the Poly because of Stormalong Bay. I think the convenience of the monorail is what has me reeling over the Poly though. I hadn't compared prices in awhile so it was kind of eye opening to me. Thanks for passing along the discount info Dana. I'm going to call them on Monday during my lunch at work and learn more about AP rates. I did a little math and the 4/3 deal was a savings of roughly 43% which means the deals offered this year are actually in line with what has been offered in the past. :dance3:

I finally made it thru this ptr Leanne. I've been very busy reading. I love your plans that you have decided on. I am sooooooooooooo jealous that there will be so many of you there at the same time. That would be such fun.

We are so torn what to do for vacay this year. We wanted a cruise and the girls gave us the deposit money for our Christmas present but I would love to do a drive thru LA and over to Mobile to meet some ofo my dear Dis sisters. Don said for me to decide. he was game for anything I chose.

Your girls are so precious. Having two girls of my own I relate so well to moms with girls but it is so awesome having the grandsons. The first time we went to Disney Sandi was 5 and Sheri was 3. We didn't go again until they were 12 and 10. It is a very long drive for us. Flying is way better. Sandi and Tim flew from Nashville on SW last May when we went. They live on the southwest side of town.

Have a great New Year.

Hi Ginny! Thanks for stopping by! :welcome: The drive is at least 12 hours from here and Joe just won't do it anymore. We are not fans of flying by any means but after one flight down Joe said we would never drive it again. The flight from Nashville to Orlando is only about 1.75 hours. We live in Bowling Green about 45 minutes north of Nashville. We usually go down to Nashville about once a month.

Thanks for the kind words about the girls. I wanted a boy so bad with each of them, but I guess God had a different plan for us. That's okay because I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Having girls is a lot of fun. A good friend of mine had two girls and their two girls have had 4 boys between them. Not a girl in the bunch. Funny how that works?:confused3

I can see why you are torn on your vacay. A giant rolling DIS meet would be a lot of fun. A cruise would be awesome too. I'm so torn on what to do myself. I keep having all kinds of ideas on things to do and add. :lmao: Too bad you can't join us for our DIS meet at the world. Maybe you could talk Don into going through LA, over to Mobile, then over to Orlando say around the last week in May. :rotfl: We'd love to have you join us. :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Danny and Connie can make it at least for a few days while we are down. I know they are toying with the idea. I would be :cloud9: if they could make it also.

Happy New Year to you also!

Leanne

I have already stalked you about this via cell phone but $400 less for Beach Club. Wow, tha is some $$$ And that pool is amazing. But the monorail and Wishes on the Poly Beach. You will have to let me know what you find out about AP's. Think I better pay you a comission since you are better than a travel agent.

I have 3 meals planned there already and it's a dream resort so for this moment I am going to keep the current game plan. What are you thinking?

Hey my dear friend. I hope the year is starting off good for you. Not so much for me, I woke up Friday morning feeling bad and Saturday I REALLY started feeling bad . I think I may have seasonal flu since I have already had H1N1 it shouldn't be that again:sad2:

Anyway, these are the prices I came up with for our trip. I priced out the deluxe, mod and value. Standard rooms at most ---------

Here are the numbers: for a 6 night stay May 24-May 30
AKL-Savanna $1431
Standard $1138
standard pool view $1175

Poly
standard $1603

GF
standard $1751

WL
standard $1231

YC, BW, BC
standard $1473

BC villas
$1448

I only did CBR on mods
$709

Only Pop at values
$445.

I couldn't believe the AKL rates :scared1:. Last year we paid A LOT for the cabin. I didn't price it out with the DDP, but I may try that since they will add the DDP if using the AP and room only.

Dana, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. You poor thing. You've had it rough the last few weeks. I hope you are feeling better this morning.

On the pricing, that's pretty much what I found (except I was pricing out 7 days rather than 6). I couldn't believe the prices for an AKL savannah room compared to a Poly room. So very close-both are awesome. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of a Beach Club Villa room. I was almost persuaded to switch but the Poly is our dream and I'm going to go for it. It looks like my Mom and Dad are leaning towards a Thanksgiving week vow renewal. I will get another chance to try out another hotel then. :goodvibes

Let us know what youdecide girl. It's so fun to have so many options. :cool1:

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, but I found some antibiotics I had in my medicine cabinet and started them today. I know if it is the flu they won't do me any good, but I have to try something. I didn't feel anywhere near this bad when I had swine flu :scared1:. It is going to get better, I know it is, I have faith.

I know what you mean about the room rates, I am just surprised they are sooooooo good. I didn't think we would be staying in a deluxe for years to come because it just costs so much and we would rather spend the money in the parks, but, like I said, we spent over $3000 last year just for the cabin. I paid over $2000 for our trip in September and we only had a one day ticket and it was free dining.

I'm like you about the Poly, it is such a beautiful place. I don't know that I would feel comfortable at GF. It is kinds stuffy....:lmao:. Now that I see the price of the Poly I may try and talk Dale into it.

I hope the antibiotics do the trick. You don't need to have a bum leg and sickness. That's not fair at all. I'm sure you will be feeling better soon. Keep the faith.

Oh Dana, it would be so awesome if you could join us over at the Poly. Mary and I spoke about that on the phone last night. I think it would be so cool to just chill at the pool and chat maybe after our Ohana dinner. We didn't get much time last trip to chat and if we were all at the same resort it would be so convenient and easy. I have my fingers crossed big time. Whatever you decide we will work something out though. You have brigthened my day Dana. I'm happy just knowing you are thinking about it. :goodvibes

Oh wow, how fun would that be!!:banana: We are staying put at the Poly. We can stay at the BC or AK when we get DVC. This may be are only time at the Poly. Now I am trying to convince him to do the DxDP :dance3:

Glad you decided to stay. I like the way Nickie put it...DxDP kind of makes the vacation all inclusive (except for adult beverages). I'm excited to give DxDP a try. Now we are scheming on November too as we are trying to figure out how we are getting there, how long and where are we staying. More fun. Maybe I will leave this trip alone after I get more details from my Mom on the other trip. :lmao:

WOW! you guys have been busy pricing this out...:rolleyes1

I did the same thing after I ordered Danny's pants tonight...

I like the prices I'm coming up with for May just have to see what Danny thinks...tomorrow I think I'll start putting it down on paper for him! I was going over dates in my head tonight; if we leave on the 18th (day after Dayne's graduation) we could do other places first (but, my townhouse is rented already for those days :sad2: ) but, if we do Disney first our dates would be the 19th - 23rd...

well, I still need to get it down on paper...and if you did Nov sounds like we would miss one another by days we would arrive in Orlando the Saturday after Thanksgiving our plan is to do Disney the Sunday - Thursday (after the crowds leave) (from what I read your mom is thinking Thanksgiving week ???)

:confused3:

Your dining and park plans sound great and the safari, breakfast, and/or voyage sound like alot of fun....

continue to have fun planning!!!!
:wave2: Connie
