Heading back to Princess Josie's Castle-An AKV May 22-29 PTR-TR Started 6/3!

....we got a revised school schedule and we now aren't getting out until the 28th

I hope you informed the school system that you would be in France that day, meeting your DIS family! :rotfl:

Seriously, though, to me, that sounds like an excessive amount of testing, especially all together, one after the other! :headache:

Thats right Michelle she is!!-good one!

Even as a teacher, that testing schedule would make me pull my hair out. We are in the middle of state testing right now, and I hate it.

The problem with trying to work something out as far as allowing her to possibly take the test early is test security. NO ONE is ever allowed to look at test materials prior to test date so that the test questions cannot be floated around beforehand. It says that statement in every testing manual for standardized testing. Everyone must take it at the same time. I'd be willing to say that they won't let that one fly. A lot of times, they don't even get the testing materials until a week or so ahead of time.

If it is not used for promotion purposes, then I would say skip it. They may try really hard to discourage you from pulling her out if the tests affect a school performance score.
Thanks for the input Megan. I looked around at the other elementary school calendars and ours is the only elementary, out of 8 in our district, that is testing the last week of school. :confused3 The two tests she could potentially miss are tests they take periodically throughout the school year to monitor progress. I'm not sure how important they really are as grades are generated based on the tests they take throughout the marking period on subject matter being taught and not on these two tests. She will take these two tests again at the beginning of 5th grade to see where she is?? :confused3

The teacher did not respond to my email and I know she received it as Lindsey asked her if she had seen it and she said "yes". I adore Lindsey's teacher so I'm trying to be patient. NOT my strong suit.;)

I didn't put it that way exactly but I made it clear my plans were pretty solid. :lmao:

Still no word from Lindsey's teacher. I don't know what to think of that as I know she has read my email. :confused3

So the only significant change I made to our ADR's was that we are having breakfast at Boma on the morning of the 29th rather than Ohana. It makes more sense to eat at our home resort. I also thought that my BBB appointment on the 24th was for 8:15 but it is for 8:00am. That's awesome because it is one of the first of the day. :goodvibes If you read my PTR last year you would know that I had a BBB ressie cancelled without my doing last year and the year before that our Le Cellier ressie was cancelled by some guy named Luis??? so after two little hiccups I'm now obsessed with double checking all of my ressies:eek:. The double check over the weekend went very smoothly and I've regained a little faith in Disney's ADR system. :goodvibes

I'm so excited because for the first time this week we have no practices or afterschool activities tomorrow! :woohoo:

Hope everyone has a great night!!

Oh, I remember your BBB appointment cancellation. That was terrible! I just made ADRs yesterday and I already checked them today. They are still there  But I will keep checking mine, and I think it's because I remembered that happening to you!

Glad to hear all of yours are still in place too!

That's too funny Pam! It was a major bummer to have the ressie cancelled. I'm glad all of your ressies are still in tact. :goodvibes Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!! :goodvibes

Got word from Lindsey's teacher......

The curriculum coordinator is going to make sure Lindsey has all of her testing done by the 21st! Yay!!!! :woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana:

I am so happy to hear that Leanne! Poor Lindsey is going to need this trip to Disney more than anyone else.
Have a great weekend!

I am over the moon excited that her testing will be over by the 21st.....what a huge weight off your shoulders:hug:

Jasmine and I are just heading out to look for accessories and grad shoes, but hopefully later today or tonight I'll have a post up.\

Enjoy your weekend my friend!!!

YAAAAY!!! Glad the testing is working out for you, that's hard!!! I'm SOOO glad Tyler gets out of school before June. My friend is having a similar problem, because they had so many snow days in NJ, their last day of school is hte 21st or 22nd, can't remember. THey're due to be down here by the 21st!!! So her kids are gonna miss the last couple of days. One is in the first grade, so not such a big deal, the other is in 9th, little more of a big deal LOL
