Oh my goodness, have I been busy. Tonight is going to be hectic so today I'm going to use my lunch hour to give you some updates on what we've been up to...without further ado
We met Connie and Danny outside of the Bass Pro Shop and headed to dinner at Tony Roma's. Connie brought the girls some really neat stuff in a goody bag. Connie and Ashton were instant buds with the girls.

Here are some pics of our little meet up with Connie. I only took some pics after dinner that night. They aren't that great and not once did I think to get a pic of me and Connie together. My phone battery was going down fast so I didn't get to take too many. I know...where was my head right??
After dinner we went over to Stingray Reef and fed the stingrays. Here is a pic of Ashton looking for stingrays...
Next is Lindsey scoping out the stingrays and working up the nerve to feed one a shrimp..
Here's Josie striking a pose...
Here's the final pic (that's worth sharing because of clarity)..Josie riding the carousel with Ashton.
After feeding the rays and checking out the cool little tanks of fish and creepy crawlies we made the trek back through the mall and said our goodbyes. It was a lot of fun.
So now onto what has been keeping me from regular updates...well lots of things. Here's a major one....girl scout cookie booths...
Here's a pic of a few of the girls on my troop at a cookie booth we had outside of a Kroger...
Aren't they cute??
Here's our official mascot...It's a build a bear elephant in Brownie Girl Scout gear...cute huh?
Finally, Joe has discovered a new fun, free (other than gasoline) activity for us to do as a family. It's called geocaching. It's kind of like treasure hunting. You get clues of treasures hid in your area along with coordinates to find the general location. We are having a ball with this. The "treasures" are usually located near parks, landmarks, etc so not only do you get to find a top secret treasure but it's a good opportunity to learn about your area. Here are some pics from our excursion a few weeks ago...
There was one hidden near this Jet...
Here's Lindsey following the clues that it was camofluaged (sp??) near the bushes....she found it incidentally.
Josie holding the treasure...
Josie and Lindsey searching for the next one....
it was hanging from a tree in container that looked just like an acorn....it was very clever...Joe found it..
We found five treasures this afternoon. I'm amazed at how many are in our little town and how fun this is to do for very little money. If you have a car to get you to the general area and GPS and/or phone, you have everything you need. My girls really like this but I can see where boys would think this was really awesome.
Well better go for now..have a great afternoon!
