The main one is......... do they provide towels at the pool? We will be there with 9 kids and the thought of washing towels everyday sucks. LOL

Also, how big is the resort..... meaning should we plan on taking a stroller for getting around the resort area (we wont be heading into town much, if at all) Oh the stroller would be for a 3 1/2 year old.........

Do they have games and such that we can bring to our rooms....

DVD player or VCR in the GV's

I am checking in on TUesday but the rest of our party is checking in Wedenday (gee just me and my two girls in a GV all by our lonesome!) Does the rest of the party need to be checked in or can they come straight to the room..... Also can I get keys for everyone when I first check in?

What grocery store can you recommend?

DOes the pack n play come with pack n play sheets or regualr bedding?

And lastly........ Do the Grand Villas have high chairs? If so how many and can we request more from housekeeping?

BTW I did my best to search the new guidebook but couldnt find any of these answers! LOL

Thanks bunches!!!!!!!

Well, I can answer some of these.

Yes, there are towels at the pool. Sometimes they are out, sometimes you have to get them from where they do the rentals.
The resort isn't that big, so I don't think a stroller is really necessary. When we first went to HH, youngest DD was 3 and were in a studio by the lodge. She had no problems wandering all over. Not sure about the games, but I believe all the units still have VCRs, I haven't heard anybody indicate that there are any DVDs yet. We always go to the Piggly Wiggly, which is right up the street from the resort right off the main drag. You'll pass it on the way to the resort, it will be on your right. Not sure about the pack 'n play or highchairs.

Have a great trip. We have a GV reserved for next June and can't wait!

Thanks for the info!!

I havent shopped at a Piggley Wiggley in over a decade! How fun!

There is also a Sam's Club on the island - if you are a member. With that many kids I sure that using bulk items won't be a problem. Enjoy!

I bet you're all getting so excited!

Never stayed in a GV, but we had a 2 bdrm at HH in July.
We arrived before our guests and had their keycards put in envelopes with their last names on them. We had them stop at check-in for their cards and parking passes on their way in.

The resort is pretty small, so I think a 3 1/2 yo would be able to walk it with no problem. It seems like you can walk from one end of the resort to the other in just a few minutes, really. Of course, this is coming from someone who packed a stroller, walker and baby swing for our 6 month old granddaughter last summer...... ;)

There was no high chair in our 2 bdrm. I'm not sure if they're available on request or not. The pack 'n play did have a pack 'n play sized sheet. When we opened the crib, the sheet was folded up inside.

There was a VCR in our villa. Haven't read any reports of DVD players at HH yet.

We shopped at the Piggly Wiggly and it was very nice. Close too... only about a 1/2 mile or so from the resort. From the resort, turn left on the main drag there and the store is on your left. We found it a little difficult finding things on the island at first. Some places are set back from the highway and the signs are small and close to the ground... might want to take a 'navigator' with you to help find your way around. :D

The Piggly Wiggly is close, but the island is so small, it really doesn't matter. I like driving to the Food Lion to get my supplies. There is a Starbucks nearby and it just seems to work for us.

The resort is really so small that the stroller is not necessary, but if you decide to go over the bridge for a walk, the stroller may become necessary.

As for the DVD's, I believe those are in the future for HH.

Enjoy your vacation. It should be a great time!

DownNeckBoy,

Where is the Food Lion at? I'm sure we drove by it and I just don't remember seeing it.

To get to the Food Lion, make a right on 278. Drive down to Sea Pines Circle, make a right. It is approximately a half mile down on your right. The shopping center to your left as you make the right at Sea Pines Circle also has a Publix. That is also the center which has the Starbucks.

Thanks! We'll have to try that out when we go next year. Also, glad to know there is a Starbucks close!

We asked for a high chair at check-in (just a couple of weeks ago :D ) and housekeeping met us at our unit with it - it was one of those chairs that are in all the restaurants - wood, no tray, but a Mickey cut out on the back. It fit fine at the dining table. The Pac 'N Play had the most adorable Mickey sheets! Have a great time - I'm so jealous!

Thanks everyone for all your help........... Just 3 more hours til the taxi comes and whisks us away!!!

Have I mentioned how excited we are???
