Headache sufferers please help!

If you suffer from headaches, please help me. I am near tears and out of tricks with this headache and also home alone til DF gets off at midnight.

I have a shunt in my head as well to drain fluid. This is day 2 of the headache and it is getting worse. I have maxed out on my Amerge (migrane med) both days. I have taken 1/2 of a pain pill with phenergan for vomiting. Dark room laying down. Caffene.

I am dizzy when standing so staying close to bed. Does anyone have any ideas on anything else to try. I have had a cold washcloth over my eyes and everything.

Call your doctor or go to the hospital ASAP. Your shunt may be blocked, one of the signs is a headache! Please get this checked now or you may get worse!

I agree, this sounds dangerous...I would call someone ASAP

I agree. If you have a shunt, please get someone to take you to the Dr or ER. Don't wait until your DF gets home. Call somebody now. . .you probably shouldn't be alone.

Get to the ER quickly! I hope that you have found some relief by now.

I am ok. My son came in to pick up something and looked at my and called my DF home from work, which took about an hour. My DF called my neuro and we went to the ER. He stayed w me until df got here.

we spent all night at the er and my shunt tested fine and I got meds for relief. We got home @ 7am and I am just now waking up. Thanks for the advice and concern.
