Help!
We are going to WDW Aug 8-16. Park days will start on the 9th (we have park hoppers).
We typically only go once every 4-5+ years so the past few times we've splurged on a dessert party on the last night to guarantee good fireworks viewing without being crammed in there or needing to get a spot way ahead of time, plus the kids were younger so this was an easy way to not have to worry about people being tired the next day if we're just flying home.
Well....we did this last year and unexpectedly are going to Disney again this year after an epic 2022 trip where we got the dessert party for Enchantment. My kids are INSISTENT on seeing HEA (my youngest has never seen it live but they all watched it a ton during Covid as we did a lot of pretend travel so it's just special to us) BUT our last night (15th) we're splurging on MNSSHP so I'm not doing a dessert party and our normal MK last night plan won't work (or, at least will have a different twist).
With the Halloween party happening on the 11th and 15th when we're there, which night would be the best to catch HEA? Should we do it the 9th? I feel like in between the 11 and 15 HEA will be more crowded since the parties will have started but maybe earlier in that week won't be quite so bad yet? Or am I thinking through this incorrectly?
I'd like to try to avoid the 10th if possible just because we are hitting MK for RD on the 11th...but honestly we can probably make anything work.
Also, I'll take any advice on getting a *decent* spot without having to be there 2 hours in advance....I'm trying to strike a balance of knowing we'll have to do some staking but not needing the *perfect* spot, just enough to give my kids the dose of the show they love.
THANKS!
