He Walked!!!!

I just had to share with someone that would truly understand what my son did this weekend. First a little background, my son is 3.5 years old and has Cri du Chat. He is able to walk with a walker and recently my DW and I had gotten him to walk between us about 20 steps. Well this weekend we went to see my mom, and we were showing her that he could walk between us. He decided about halfway between me and DW to turn around and go back to her. This was exciting then later he decided he would walk from one room to the other. He continued to do this all weekend! It is only a matter of time before he stops crawling all together and starts walking. I hope also this gives other parents of children with disabilities hope and remember to never give up, miracles do happen.

We never had heard of it until we found out E. was diagnosed with it. I can always literally say he is 1 in 50,000.

I can't wait for the special olympics. Has anyone heard of the miracle league. It seems Enzo would love that also.

Wow! That is awesome. Our youngest has CP and walked right before he turned 4. I still remember that day. Congratulations!
