First of all, I just want to thank everyone for supporting me in this thread. I means a lot to me, y'all.

Over Thanksgiving break, Jacob and I got much closer. I truly felt like we were going somewhere and that he liked me. We went to a ballgame together, we went to the movies, shopping, he ate over at my house with my family for Thanksgiving, etc.

Last night, my best friend Tiffany text-ed him and asked him if he liked me..

He sent her one telling her that he sees us better as friends. He did say that "You never know," but he kept repeating that he just sees us a s friends.

He called me today and asked me if I had talked to Tiffany and I told him that I had. He told me that she had told him that I liked him A LOT and that he thinks we're just better as friends. I told him that I wasn't gonna lie to him...I DO like him. I told him why, also. He told me that I am one of his best friends and that he loves spending time with me. I just kept my composure and told him that was fine and that I didn't wanna ruin our friendship. Then, we hung up.
I still didn't feel okay afterwards so I text-ed him and asked if we were okay. He said "Heck Yeah! I'll always be your best bud."

Then he told me that he would save some dances for me at the big school semi-formal that is coming up.

i feel for you girl.

i had something similar happen to me a couple of years ago, i was TOTALLY head over heels for this guy and we hung out ALOT, we'd do like everything together and tell each other everything.

I finally got the courage to tell him how I felt and he said that he thought of my more as a sister type of deal. (UGH!!)
but he told me that i was a beautiful girl and some day soon my prince would come and whisk me off my feet.
and he was right.

it definitley hurt and took a while to get over, i'm not gonna lie.
but once i accepted that nothing would happen between us and i moved on, i found 'my prince', and he was the last person i would've expected it to be.

Love pops up in the weirdest places when you are least expecting it.
So keep your chin up, you truly are a beautiful girl and you'll find the right guy for you sooner or later.

And don't let your friendship with Jacob die, he seems like a GREAT guy and someone who is really reliable and who you can depend on.

Aw hun! I know it totally hurts right now.

But the fact that he was straightforward and honest and didn't lie to you and didn't avoid you immaturely says he really cares about you as a person.

Just a word of advice...careful when dancing with him...don't read too much into the emotions b/c slow dancing can get you into emotional trouble.

I'm sorry for you and I'm here.

Thank y'all so much! Yes...it does hurt pretty bad right now. I couldn't sleep a wink last night and didn't eat any dinner....No appetite.

I am much better today, though. I spent all night (literally) thinking the whole situation over. He's still the same wonderful, fun guy I've been hanging out with. I can't let something like this get in the way of beautiful friendship like ours. He is a very respectful guy and I shouldn't be moping because he had the guts to tell me himself that he just doesn't see me like that. He did say that we never know what may happen in the future...so that gives me a little hope. I'm trying to be realistic, though, and not get carried away. If it's meant to be....it'll be.


PS: I will try and not focus on the slow dancing. I won't lie...it's gonna be hard not to be hopeful....but, I know it'll just be as friends.

Last night, was AMAZING!

Guess what??


Jacob,....asked....me...out!

My 2 bestest friends were over at my house last night, and I handed them the phone with Jacob on it...(while I went and asked my Mama somethin').
They were being nosy...and asked him what was going on between us. He said that he didn't know....and that he needed to talk with me about it. They asked him, "Do You Like Her?"


...................................... "Yeah."


OMG!


Long story short?

WELL....He confessed that he likes me....and I told him that I still like him. He then said that was really good....because he wants to go out with me! WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!

Only got 3 hours of sleep! lol. BIG adrenaline rush!

lol! Thanks y'all! I am pretty much on cloud 9...and have been all day!
It was a pretty amazing Christmas present. The whole time I liked him, I would sing "All I Want For Christmas Is You"....and now it ACTUALLY came true!

I guess it just proves that patience pays off in the end! lol.
