He is going stir crazy....

He is going stir crazy and is going to take me right along with him for the ride.

DH has been unemployed for 15 months now. He gets the occasional temp job with a security firm. Right now he is on week 2 of a 3 month job.

Normally they have him working in banks and he likes it. Interacts with the tellers and customers. This time it is physical security for a plant that is closing. His job for eight hours is to drive around the property once an hour, then sit in the car in any of the 4 employee parking lots and twice a day do a walk thru of the 7 buildings. You can drive the property in 15 minutes and the walk thru's take maybe 45 minutes to get thru all 7 buildings.

He is getting so bored the rest of the day. Todays, bordem breaker is sending me text messages with movie quotes. So far we have had Jaws, Star Wars (all 6 movies), Monty Python, Signs, and a few others. I am so tempted to go and get a couple of cheap games and movies for the psp and send that with him to keep him entertained.

This is gonna be a looong 3 months, if this is how it's going to be day after day after day.

What kind phones does he have. He may can play games on his phone. I have all kind of games, books, music and audio books on my phone.

I was going to suggest this. Put me in a locked room with my kindle and I wouldn't complain until I was starving.

He just needs to be very careful about doing anything like reading, playing games and such. If someone catches him and reports him he might be out of a job.

I use to work part time at the front desk at the local YMCA and there were times when there was NOTHING to do and you couldn't leave the desk. Several people were fired because during down times when there wasn't anything to do and there weren't any members coming in or out they would read magazines.

Hes not that board he just loves you lol. good luck i would get him a portable dvd player with ciag plug charger and rent movies from libary for him...

when my hubby gets board being home alone you should see the txt converstion we have. the last one was about what kinda zombie movie we could make on low budget, where when the plot. He is so crazy, but i would miss the crazy discusions if he stopped them.
