The photopass photographer was absolutely wonderful! Few couples get to have their entire proposal recorded in pictures that they can keep and always look back on and remember when. I honestly can't stress enough how wonderful everyone at CRT (and throughout Disney) were to them. I think Josh got spoiled

Oh the pressure!

A few weeks before our trip Josh came to Dale and I asking our blessing. To be honest, I didn't even know young men still did that.

But isn't it nice that some still do? Chivalry is not dead!

Anyway, it certainly did not come as a surprise that he wanted to marry her.

Really? My oldest is only 14 but if/when the time comes, I'm sure I'll be like, "Marry her? But she's still a baby!"
"Dad, I'm 32. Time to let go."

I'd known it would happen since their very first date.

Oooohhh. Psychic Dawn. Groovy.

You see, when he walked into my mom's home that first night I heard a little voice.

Ohhhhh. Psycho Dawn. Scary.


(It's a joke! Really! Don't listen to what the voices are telling you now!)

Now I do not hear voices on a regular basis, just special occasions

Ah, and that's an improvement, because.... ?

So when that kind,earnest and handsome young man asked for our blessing it was not a surprise. It also wasn't hard to know what to say.

So what did you say? I'm hoping it wasn't, "Huh? yeah, go ahead. Now if you don't mind, this is our favorite episode of Murder She Wrote."

I never thought Caitlin would find someone that her grandparents deemed worthy of her ... but even her very protective grandparents love him. Like Cinderella's slipper, Josh is a perfect fit.

I'm sure you parents can understand how emotional that day was for me. As Dale and I approached the castle that morning I could already feel the tears welling up and I knew I'd have to work really hard to hold it together.

So it was probably a good thing that Caitlin wasn't around? Do you think she'd've noticed?

During breakfast as the princesses visited our table I kept remembering Caitlin as a little girl.....her first visit to WDW at 2......dressing like Belle or Jasmine for various Halloweens....pulling the sword out of the stone at age 5. You understand.

Oh, yes. 100%.

Finally breakfast finished and I saw the waitress with the tray. I was seated next to Josh so I gave him a little kick under the table because I didn't think he saw her. He didn't seem to react so I ended up kicking him 4 or 5 times

At which point he drops to one knee. Not because it's romantic but because his leg is so badly bruised that it just won't support him. Nice planning on your part.

There were a couple college aged girls looking on with expressions like it was the most romantic thing they had ever seen.

I believe the term you are looking for is "swooning".

Little girls were watching and looking at Caitlin like she was one of the princesses.

Ummm... Well... She is isn't she?

All the princesses came back to congratulate them and guests and staff all stopped to share good wishes as well. It was magic. The kind of magic you only get through Disney. The kind of magic that keeps us all going back year after year.
