My family is going on our first trip (well for them, not me) to WDW March 30-April 6th. It is me, DH, and DD6. We are doing the DxDDP and have a few 2TS meals planned like CG (for wishes), Luau, and CRT. I was able to get a Cat 3 seating at HDDR the same night I have ADR's for WC (don't worry I will cancel one). My question is is Cat 3 for HDDR worth 2TS? (we have Cat 2 for the Luau). Is it much better than the "antics" at WC? Which did your family prefer?

I'm a little worried about the offerings at HDDR for my daughter. Do they offer anything else? Mac and cheese would be great ;) . So what do you guys think WC or HDDR?

You can get Mac and Cheese for her I'm pretty sure. The Tier 3 is on the balcony, with seats that swivel. It's kind of slapstick comedy but they roam the audience. They have a washboard at the end that kids and adults can bang on with spoons.

The Mac and cheese is at least good. The food doesn't look that appealing on menu. I am wondering if the show even with Cat 3 seating makes up for it.

The show is good and so is the food(if you like fried chicken and bbq ribs). For you DD(and if needed you too) your server can get anything that is being served next door at Trails End(they use the same kitchen).

WCC is also a fun time but it can vary depending on your server and the general mood of the other servers and diners.

I have done both and for my family(DD15 and DS12) we preffer HDDR.

Thanks! I am leaning toward HDDR. Its seems like even though WC could be fun a lot of it depends on the server. I have to talk it over with DH (though he is almost to the point of covering his ears and singing everytime I bring up WDW plans:confused3 )

My preference is for the HDDR - the food is basically the same - salad, ribs, chicken, beans, etc.

With three hungry kids (7, 5 and 2), I really liked how the HDDR food was ready for us. Service at the WCC was horrible - it took 40 minutes for us to get our check. I will not be going back to WCC, but I will go to HDDR again. My 7 year old daughter laughed until she was crying!

Call me crazy - I LOVED the salad at the HDDR. Maybe I was veggie-starved that day, but I ate the entire bucket all by myself!

Good I thought I was the only who's DH doesn't want to hear the plans. I only ask him as a courtesy so that way he is at least involved. But I guess I should just tell him when we are leaving and returning and just follow me!!!!:rotfl:
I was wondering the same thing about HDDR. We are going to be on the DDP and I think we are going to pay OOP for the show. So we can go the Yachman's Steakhouse for a 2TS meal.

That's it HDDR it is! I am gonna call and cancel my WC ADR. I think that both sound fun but HDDR is reviewed so well I just have to try it. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

Yachman's Sounds Delicious! Enjoy. I wanted to do that but we decided on Le Cellier instead. And yes you are not alone. I am constantly talking about the trip and DH is constantly coming up with excuse to leave the room. "Sorry hon, the trash is looking full better take it out."

;)
