Trying to fine tune plans for an Aug 8-18 trip. Here's our basic plans. The second half of the vacation is with extended family so we will keep all those ADRs as is. The first half is me and my kids, so I'm fiddling with it.

Tue- arrive in the morning, BWI, HS
Lunch- quick lunch or snack at BWI while I check in
Supper- either 4:00 HBD F! pkg (only time I've seen, but will keep checking)
OR 6pm HBD without the pkg.
Fantasmic

Wed- Ep
1:05- Garden Grill
supper- not sure if we should do an ADR or just do QS

Th- MK
7:30am Ohana (or Trattoria al Forno if it opens up)
4:45pm Skipper Canteen

Fri-AK/BWI pool (DS19 will fly out mid afternoon)
11:45am Tusker
6:30pm Trattoria al Forno

Sat- water park/Ep
(will get to sleep in a bit here as water parks open a bit later)
7:15pm via Napoli
Illuminations (plan to view near Gondolas)

Sun- change hotels to AoA, HS/AK
EMH at HS
have 2 FP for afternoon at AK lining up with my cousins
6:35pm Boma OR 5:50pm Tiffins
8:35pm FP for RoL

Mon-MK/Ep
FP for MK
5:50pm Marakesh

Tues-HS
11:20am- 50's PT

Wed- AK
12pm- Yak and Yeti

Th- EP
12:15pm Akershus
5:10pm Biergarten

Ok- first of all I am not sure about the HBD F! dining package if we have to eat at 4:00. I guess if we are able to keep lunch really light this will be ok, but the dining package is a lot of food. How much is the F! pkg worth it vs eating at the more regular time of 6pm? Plus the increased cost?

Second- we've never eaten breakfast at WDW and I've always wanted to try Ohana. It makes the most sense before our MK day. However, I don't want it to interfere too heavily with our doing RD at MK. Currently MK is scheduled to open at 9am on this day. If it stays at 9am, how much will a 7:30am Ohana interfere with that? Most of us will be back to MK a couple days later, but DS19 only has this day at MK, so trying to hit his highlights.

Third- I've always wanted to eat at Boma and so scheduled that for Sun supper. But now I'm wondering if being at early EMH at HS, then AK, then AKL, then AK for RoL is going to be too much!! I thought one thing that might make it easier is if we eat at Tiffins instead of Boma. What do you think?

Ok. Now that I realize that I can't get the AP discount on the Fantasmic HBD dinner, I think that may sway me to doing just the regular dinner there.

Still wondering about Ohana breakfast. If I want to be at a 9am rope drop at MK, would this be possible with a 7:30am ADR at Ohana? or Kona?

And how long would it probably take to get to Boma from AK, eat, and then get back? I know that the lodge is close, but wondering how much time I will lose in transport if I pick this option.

TIA

IMO, with the 7:30 ohana ADR...you'd be cutting it really close on an MK RD. You will at least be at the back of the pack. You may could make it and RD frontierland/adventureland as that's normally much less crowded. It will prob depend on transportation time if you can make it or not.

We stayed at the poly in late May, the monorail wasn't running, so had to take a boat..which seemed fine until we had to wait about 30-40 min for a boat to come. It appeared only one was running.

Anyway, I'd say it would be cutting it close under normal circumstances...then if you run into a delay...well you know.

Our family probably wouldn't enjoy a 7:30am breakfast. Just think about what time you'll need to get up/be out to make it happen. You may be totally fine with that.

If it were us, we would RD and do a brunch.

Just got back yesterday (7/7/17) and I'll put in a plug for The Wave at the Contemporary for breakfast. We were on the DDxP and it was our best TS breakfast. We also did Tusker House and O'hana breakfast. It was an easy walk to MK after breakfast. Lots more food choices than O'hana, and with no characters you can be in and out in less than an hour.

Depends what you would order, the brown derby fantasmic package could be less than regular pricing. You'd have to look at the menu and see what your family would most likely order. Remember the package includes an appetizer and dessert.

Package does take stress away from seeing Fantasmic and you get the center section of seating.

I'd say unless Boma is a very high priority it is not worth the extra hour or more of round trip travel time.

7:30 Ohana means getting to mk right around 9:00. Depends on what you planned on doing at rope drop on whether beig at the back of the pack would be a problem.
