Hayride & Halloween?

This year we are looking for some fun Halloweenish activities to do during our trip - we have done MNSSHP twice & DH says he doesn't want to do it again this year. I know there are the haunted carriage rides at FW, but we have too many people (4 adults + 2 kids). I've read there are also hayrides at FW. Do they do anything towards Halloween to make them more seasonable? Also, how soon before Halloween will people start decorating their sites?

the campers at the Fort put on fabulous halloween displays... We arrived on October 23rd last year and they were in full force.... We loved it so much we are planning on going again this coming Halloween!!

There was a Haunted Hayride up until 2-3 years ago but it was discontinued. It had been in place for several years and probably need a little time off to "breathe" the idea. They will probably still have hayrides but they won't be the haunted "theme" variety.

Of course, stay tuned on this board to find out. October is still several months away.

The golf cart parade usually takes place on or around Halloween Day if you will be at the Fort on that particular day. Orlando Magazine had a video of it last year and there were some really clever ideas.

Thanks for the replies! We have decided to book the carriage ride. We will be sure to wander around a bit & check out the displays!
