We will be staying at the Hawthorn Suites Sea World for 1 night next week before our onsite checkin. Any reviews for this hotel??

Hi, this is my favorite off-site hotel. :) I stayed there six different times, since 1997. Nice place - not overally fancy or anything, but clean and safe. I was there three weeks ago, and had a very nice stay. The breakfast is good - it had scrambled eggs, cereals, fruit, juices, muffins, all the standard food. Has a pretty cloverleaf-shaped pool in the center courtyard. Westwood Boulevard is a less busy road than International Drive, which is great when driving and going places. The I-trolley goes by as well. I have gotten a one bedroom suite for $59.00 recently, which is a great price! :)

Enjoy, it's a nice place! :)

Ditto to the above post. I haven't stayed at the Sea World Hawthorne but the airport and Universal Hawthorne, they are all cookie cutters of each other and I was very pleased with both locations.

Our family travels to Orlando once a month and we have stayed at the Hawthorn Universal on Canada Avenue for the past 7 visits. We used to stay at the Hawthorn LBV and yes, these two properties are very similar. However, last year we stayed for one night at the Hawthorn Sea World and we were very disappointed. The hotel was older and our room was in very bad need of updating. The wallpaper was peeling, there were stains on the carpet, the furniture and appliances in the kitchen were old. The layout of the room was nothing like the other two locations. We were very surprised. Needless to say, we have never returned to this hotel. But we have always been happy with the LBV and Universal Hawthorns. For this months visit, I found the brand new Homewood Suites at Universal. We got a great rate from HotelMart USA so we are going to give it a try. They just opened on May 12th so it can't be too bad!

I thought I read somewhere (hotelkingdom maybe) that this Hawthorn Seaworld was recently renovated. Can anyone confirm or deny this. We are considering adding on a few days in Orlando before we go to SoFla and this was one of the places we were thinking about trying..

I just looked at HotelKingdom's website and they say that this property is "Newly Renovated" so I just called the hotel directly. I spoke with Danny at the front desk and he said that there have been no renovations done to the rooms, only small changes to the property itself. He said the last full renovation was several years ago. I hope this helps.
