We stayed there in 2005 and breakfast consisted of juices, cereals (about 3 varieties), bagels or english muffins (with spreads), some packet scrambled eggs and sausage links or biscuits and gravy (some wierd concoction which tasted like sausage and mushroom soup

).
It was adequate for being free, the only one thing I would say is that the breakfast area is TINY (about a dozen tables) and at peak times it's impossible to sit anywhere, so we used to bring food back to our room.
I don't know if you know about the "managers reception" which is held in the early evening on weekdays. It normally consisted of wine and beer, as well as fountain drinks, and nachos, hot dogs, or sometimes burgers.
It was really great if you'd had lunch out and just wanted a light supper.
We though Hawthorn Suites was great; clean, spacious and really friendly and helpful staff - would have no hesitation staying there in the future.
