Hawaiian Airlines - ever any fare sales?

Does anyone know if Hawaiian Airlines ever has any fare sales? I have travel credits from this summer and was thinking about booking for next summer but the fares are so much higher than my travel credits. Has anyone ever seen any fare sales or do you think that because the airline industry is hurting so much that these prices will never go down?

Well, my crystal ball is broken so I’m just going to have to go with historical precedent. After 9/11 I remember there being some really good deals on airfare, so I would assume fares will go down this time too.

That being said, 9/11 was a one day event that caused a 31% decrease in passenger demand for about a half a year after, and I imagine Covid will last much longer than that. It might end up being the case where it just doesn’t make sense to drop fares too much.

Since no one really knows the answer, is there a possibility of purchasing refundable tickets and just stalking prices?

I already have a ticket credit from the June 2020 trip that I had to cancel. That credit is good until May, 2022 without paying for a change fee but have to pay for the price increase. Looking to book July 2021 which I can do at the end of August but the current rates are so much more now for the same flights.

I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge if Hawaiian Airlines has ever had a fare sale. I can just bite the bullet and buy the tickets in August and lock in my new price while there is still some sort of lockdown or wait, but I am afraid that the airline industry will just keep going up on the prices once everything starts to return to the new "normal" whatever that will be.
