We Have Reservations For This Coming August At The Mauni Lani Resort On The Big Island Of Hawaii. Just Wondering If Anyone Has Taken A Helicopter Tour Or The Island Bus Tours That Are Available? Roughly How Expensive Are They And Did You Like Them And Why. Also, If You Have Stayed At The Resort, Can You Share Anything About It? We Have 2 Garden View Rooms That Connect.

We didn't stay at that resort, but have been to the big island several times, and the helicopter and airplane rides are all run by various services, and not connected to the individual resorts. The two tours we enjoyed most on Hawaii was the circle island plane that flies over and around the active lava flows. It also tours the entire island by air, and was a lot of fun. These planes only hold about 18, so they are small. We did a helicopter tour on Kauai, and found that to be amazing as well. Don't recall the costs, but I know most timeshare places will give you a break on costs of tours if you sit through their sales pitch.
