Just for fun, as I know there is no way of knowing until the charts come out. But what do you think the points per night are going to look like. And what months do you think they will assign the various seasons to.

We will probably try to go in the summer if we make it out there and try to reserve a 1bd. Looking at GCV, I wonder if they will be in line with those points, or be even higher. We're hoping that they have the same set up that sleep 5 in a 1bd with the extra bath so that we can conserve on points. I guess we shall see.

Probably will have just two seasons:

Off Season (August 31):

Studio: Weeknight 40 points, weekend 60 points
1BR: Weeknight 60 points, weekend 100
2BR: Weeknight 100 points, weekend 160
Grand Villa: Weeknight 150, weekend 290

Prime Season (September 1 to August 30):

Studio: Will require a significant add-on for one night
1BR: Your first born
2BR: Exceeds points you are allowed to own
Grand Villa: Highest bidder gets it

Assuming they have any seasons, I would expect the following:

Premier: Christmas thru New Years and the two weeks surounding Easter; possibly also Thanksgiving and July 4th weekend

Magic: January thru March

Dream: mid-June thru mid-August

Choice: Everything not in any other category.

Adventure: May and Sept (excluding holiday weekends); possibly also early December.

Magic and Dream may or may not be combined since families coming the summer tend to be more price sensitive but may also be willing to pay a premium to stay with Disney.

We own a vacation rental in Maui and this generally reflects the pricing by our management company.

Not that it may mean much, but for comparison, Hilton Grand Vacation Club properties in Hawaii have only 2 seasons:

Platinum: weeks 1-18, 23-35, 42-52
Gold: weeks 19-22 (2nd week of May thru 1st week of June) and 36-41 (September thru 2nd week of October)

John, those sound about right to me too. When we exchange into Hawaii from DVC, it is only high season.

Marriott generally has only 2, Platinum and Platinum Plus which is generally 1 or 2 weeks singled out as very high demand. However, given DVC's set up, I'd suspect 3 seasons. Premier for Xmas, Easter, mid Feb to early April. Magic for mid summer and the rest some version of Dream or Choice. However, given the exchange info, I could see 4 seasons. Obviously one could draw similar but different lines and it wouldn't surprise me to have only 2 seasons.
