Having your theme park purchases sent back to resort??

If the rest of them haven't convinced you, here's another who has used it with no problems ever. No, no fee nor tipping is involved.

Also if you buy something small earlier in the day and dont take advantage of the service then, but later you buy something big or breakable, they will combine your first purchases with this. We bought a few things at the Boardwalk (which doesnt ship to other resorts) and then bought something in the Canada pavillion at Epcot and they took everything (Boardwalk and Canada stuff) and sent it back to All Star Sports.

This is a fantastic perk for staying on property. You just have it sent to your resort and the next day you pick it up in the gift shop. So easy.

I am super excited to use this service! Whatever i get im going to send back to the hotel. Thank you!

Another second for this perk!! We have used this service, and the items were sent to the resort gift shops. My mother was nervous about the service, too, but the items magically appeared at the hotel, and even she admitted that it had been nice not to have to carry them around the park all day.

I am going to be staying at ASMo, do you have to pay for this service, or tip?

No charge, and no tip. The cashier will have you fill out a short form (or ask you the questions and fill it out for you), then staple one copy to the bag and give you a copy. They staple the bag closed multiple times to "seal" it. You then pick it up a day or two later in your hotel gift shop.

We use it a lot and have never had a problem with it.

Just a note though... Up until several years ago, the packages would actually be delivered to your room. The change to having them delivered to the gift shop was instituted in the post 9/11 period and then was just never changed back.

This has always been a great service. As everyone else stated, years ago they would deliver directly to your room but in the past few years we've had to pick them up at the gift shop. The most we've waited is for something we purchased like on a Monday night and it wasn't delivered until Wednesday. I've even had my ride pictures sent and they arrive perfect which is great since I would probably have bent them if I had to carry them around all day. The only thing we couldn't have shipped was saki from the Japan pavilion. They will ship (liquor) to the front of the park but won't ship to the resort.

I'll chime in also. Great service. The only problem we encountered was the last day I went to pick up my items at POP they had changed the location of the pickup because of the volume of purchases.:rotfl:

We stayed at POFQ and we were called had to take the receipt to the gift shop and sign. One time we lost the receipt and had to show ID. It took two days to get our stuff. Also, some places (resorts) we were told they don't do this.(resort to resort) There was also somewhere inside on of the parks that said no, but I cant remember where.

Our last two trips we stayed at POP and both times I had pkgs sent from other WDW resorts back to POP. I specifically remember having packages sent back from AKL and Poly and I also am pretty sure I had pkg sent back from CR. Maybe DVC (and I know for sure Swan & Dolphin do not participate in this program) hotels do not participate :confused3 and that is why Boardwalk would not send pkg. They do tell you that it takes an extra day or two for a pkg to go from resort to resort. So this usually will only work when it's early in your trip. HTH :)

My family uses this service all the time. Also we now have them ship breakable items directly to our home. There is a shipping charge. I think it's about 10% of the purchase price. We are AP holders so get 10% discount at World of Disney at DTD. This September I got a lot of Disney Christmas ornaments (all very fragile) and a Disney train to put around our Christmas tree. I was so afraid the ornaments wouldn't survive our flight home, so I had everything shipped to us. I figure I just took the 10% discount and put it toward shipping!
