I have Windows 2000 at work and am trying to downloand/listen to live365.com (to get my Disney fix at work :flower: ), but can't seem to get it. Get an error stating that it's either down or I don't have the correct 'proxy'. I wasn't able to download DING at work due to W2000, wandering if my system is also disallowing me to listen to live365? Anyone, help!

Your network administrator might have various addresses and sites blocked. I know my company blocks out any streaming radio, music downloads, anything to do with music and games.

If you're getting errors due to proxy issues, I'm betting that's the reason why. Nothing you can do about it.

I can't get Live365 either or any streaming radio because they've blocked it because they had a bunch of people downloading music thru Kazaa and it was eating up the bandwith. Sucks! I've had to record Live365 at home then burn it on a CD just to get my Disney music fix.

No streaming park music?!? :scared: My day wouldn't be complete! :sad2: Besides, I can get a lot more work done while listening to the Wonders of Life area music than I ever could to pop radio! :music: :earboy2:

if you do not mind my asking, how do you record from live365?...I listen to various Disney channels on there all the time, but like one of the other posters in this thread, cannot do so while at work....I would love to burn some CDs of park music to get me thru the day....any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks

Thanks for the info...I'm assuming that I'll have to go without my daily music fix at work...these boards help me through the day! :cool1:
However, I am able to download a local radio station to listen to through streaming, so I was hoping that I could get live365.com without a problem. Guessing it's some sort of company block for disney :confused3

You can record from streaming broadcasts using most sound editors - including the one with Windows. I actually use the one that came with Roxio Media Creator, but the Windows Sound Recorder should work fine. You can access it (in XP) through Accessories/Entertainment.

I can get some local and foreign radio but most of the regular radio stations like live365, shoutcast, yahoo launch! and others just don't work.

I use a program named OPD2D. It's freeware and it records direct from your soundcard. You can get it here: http://www.opcode.co.uk/opd2d/default.asp

You need the bladeenc.dll to go along with it and the site gives you directions on where to get it and how to install it.

Then when live365 is running, you just hit record and it records it. Usually, I'll put it on at 11pm, leave it running all night while I'm sleeping, and get 7 hours worth of recording when I wake up in the morning. Then I just burn it on a CD-RW and bring it in to work. I put it on CD-RW so I can burn and re-burn a CD with different radio stations. The only downside to recording this way is there is no way to get a playlist and it records the entire session as one big mp3 or wav file. But I can live with that.

thanks for the help folks...I will have to look into both of those options and see what works best for me!!

thanks again!........now I gotta get out of work and go home and try them!!
