Having some strong carb cravings today

I think my body must be having to look to fat for energy where it is use to getting carbs because today all I can think about is carbs. Went to a coffee shop and it took every ounce of will power to resist a white chocolate mocha and a double chocolate muffin. Lunch time I craved Macaroni and Cheese. Tonight I am craving pancakes with syrup - made myself 2 fried eggs with cheese and 4 slices of bacon instead and drank 2 glasses of Crystal light. Nothing seems to be working. Now I am back to craving chocolate - HELP! Words of encouragement would be great!

amanda........you know it's great that you have logged on here for support........you are doing the right thing!.....i sent ya 2 pm's on the choc mousse recipe.....i think i may have a lower carb recipe for pancakes too........i know that they wont work for your induction phase tho, if you are doing that right now. i'll look for that pancake/crepe recipe for you right now and pm it to ya too.......be strong!!!!!!
 
I'm not doing the Atkins program but a Protein Power program so there is no induction phase. Just start off at 30 carbs per day for the first 4 to 6 weeks and then bump it up to 55 carbs per day until desired weight loss is achieved. Then you have to figure out how many carbs you can have a day to maintain that weight.

So the crepes are no problem. Quick question about it though - you said and bake - bake how and for how long? Sorry if I didn't follow! :)

oops.....dont bake.......just make on a griddle or crepe pan on top of the stove until very lightly browned.......sorry i wasnt clear on that......another thing too...you might wanna add a little splenda to that crepe recipe too........or even some banana flavoring.
 

Amanda, hang in there! Have you discovered sugar free jello and real whipped cream yet?? That takes care of sweet cravings for many of us. Don't know what I'd do without it sometimes! :p

It WILL get better. You just have to break your body's addiction to sugar and carbs. This, too, shall pass!
