Having problems with linking DVC AP Exchange Certificate

I am trying to link these to MDE and I am getting an error message that states that these are already linked (which is not possible since I just got these and literally just opened the envelope).
On the phone and first they told me I couldn't do anything until I get to Florida and turn them in....I know that isn't right as I was able to link my previous AP so I could make fast pass plus choices.

Does anyone have any wisdom or insight that might be helpful? I left myself a 10 day buffer so I am ok and do to need to make the FP+ choices immediately.

I'm sorry you're having trouble and that I don't know how to help you. I linked my AP renewal voucher 2 weeks ago without a problem, so I know it can be done. I would call them again, and hopefully you'll get someone that's more helpful.

Did you talk to IT or ticketing? IT should be able to unlink them whether they are or aren't linked to an account.

Same thing happened to me. I called MS and they took care of it for me. I would call again and hopefully the next CM will be able to help you.

I cant confirm that MS is the best. I can only say that I called them and they took care of it for me without any issue.

Finally all set, I called the number it gave me on the computer screen when it popped up as already attached to another account. After a few transfers they finally went into my MDE account and linked the vouchers so I should be all set. If this ever happens again I will now know to call MS for help! SO frustrating...and back to my love hate relationship with magic bands and MDE.

I had the same problem with mine. Someone pointed out to me that I was entering the wrong number when trying to link:

you cannot use the number on the back of the plastic card...you have to use your confirmation number on the paperwork. I tried the same thing then realized I needed to use the confirmation number and it worked perfectly.

What confirmation number? I have one "reservation" number for 2 vouchers.

One more thing. You have to go to Guest Services at a park to show your DVC member card and ID to activate the DVC APs. You can't just enter the park with them. Because they are tied to a DVC discount, you have to show proof. We didn't realize this when we used some old vouchers we had from a few years ago last March.
