Having gift baskets, etc delivered to your guests' rooms?

I first want to apologize if this has been recently discussed. I don't come on the wedding forum because, well, I've been married for almost seven years (and had a great Disneymoon, btw!) BUT - my very good friend is getting married in WDW in the fall, so I told her I'd see what I could find out for her. (She's not really into the Disboards like myself!)

Anyway, she wants to know how she can get gift baskets delivered to her guests' rooms for when they check in. She also would like to have Mickey ears delivered to the rooms for the kids in the party - with their names embroidered.

Would she have to talk to her disney wedding coordinator person, or is there a website where she can look at different options and pick things out? Is there a catalogue she could order or something?

I appreciate any advice and helpful tips! TIA!

alot of girls make welcome bags & drop them off at the checkin desks at each of the guests resorts with thier names on them...maybe someone who has done it can clarify

as for disney florist...they are GREAT, but costly..so she might want to consider doing her own & dropping off the baskets..there are some really great ones on some of the PJs here

I'm curious about the mouse ears too, I want to get some personalized ones for my party members -- like the pirate princess ones. I know theres a place in WDW where you can "build you own" but I want to have them before hand. Any suggestions?

BTW, disney store online is having a big sale this week! I just got beach towels for my whole wedding party for about $100, they were $6.99-$12.99 a piece!!

I made my own welcome bags for my guests. I dropped them off at the front desk of their resorts, and most received them at check in.

When you drop off the bag/box you tell them who it is for. It helps if you give them the check in date too.

I did have one family, who was already checked in, that never received the bag. I know some brides have had the bags they made never get delivered to the guest. It is kinda rare though.

I had hats made for my nephew, and put them in their bags. I bought, and had them embroidered, when I went down for my planning session.

We're getting hats made. Just tell your Disney Wedding Planner can they can work on getting this done for you via Disney Floral.

It's $30 per hat embroidered with a name (which is about what it would cost in the park). The delivery fee is $9 per resort. So, if you have guests staying at All Star Music and Port Orleans, it would be $18 delivery fee. They also put a note on the hat that says "Thank you for coming to our Wedding!" or whatever you want.

They can't have the hat in the room when the guest checks in, because room reservations and stuff can change and upgrades can happen. So, they can give it to your guest at the desk or they'll put it in the room later.

I'm sure disney florist or through your Wedding planner/florist you could have them done-

I dont know if either of these will do it--might be worth a shot though- probably cheaper--

I am using- betsy to make gift baskets for my kids to be in the room at check in: She has hats advertised on the website- maybe she would just do hats and deliver to you- she charged me whatever Disney charged for the merchandise- she was very nice-
